Hotel has a great location just minutes walk to the old town area.
The hotel generally is a little dated in decor but my room was clean and more than adequate for a short stay.

4 horrible days of my 1 month in Bucharest hotels. The worst of trip. Left tired and sleep deprived.
Horrible in all respects, except maybe location.
Tiny room, no space to open suitcase except on bed, Internet keeps dropping and needs repeated signing in. No space for even luggage rack folded in the corner (pic attached)
Reception man said, âThats the standard room, did you not see onlineâ. Thats it. About the internet - The older man went away to bring his phone and said I need to switch it on and off, thats was he does. for my laptop and phone!! Tthats what our ISP told us.
⢠Tiny TV, a single sofa stuck in the corner in a 2.5m x 2.5m cramped room
⢠Gym and Pool was closed - no information on the booking site. Mis-selling!
⢠Curtains, doesnt even cover the window completely
⢠Dirty worn out carpet
⢠NO light on the celiing, only the yellow light lamps that camouflage the dirty carpet
⢠Overall a 70s/80s feel to the room (not talking about musical vibes)
⢠Bathroom - an old stained sink, a child sized bathtub (70cm of tub floor), chipped tiles, mold and stains on the wall and a towel that was rough as a rag.
No toiletries, all purpose soap bottle on the wall!!
⢠The room temp does not correspond to the thermostat dial, was up every night fiddling with it. Hence missed sleep and affected work. The aircon is loud!
⢠Bland breakfast. I found egg shells in the fried eggs one day, no kidding.
I pointed out the coffee had run out. âNo coffee, there the espresso, sorryâ, pointing to the vending machine - at 8:30am!

We booked only for one night.
Indeed, the furniture was old, but still tough, the room where we stayed was small, but large enough for two people. The place is clean, but it still needs to be invested.
Rich breakfast / fresh produce.
We traveled by car and we managed to find a parking space in front of the hotel.
The spa is a simple pool and sauna. The biggest problem was that the pool water contained a lot of chlorine that bleached our bathing suits and was impregnated in our skin.

I spent 4 nights at this hotel while attending a conference.
I found it disappointing (but I have no experience of other hotels in Bucharest to compare it with).
Good points:
- very central: close to old town for bars and restaurants; close to national art gallery; easy access from airport down the main avenues;
- clean
- bathroom (with bath and shower): in good condition
- no noise from other rooms
Not-so-good points:
- dated: old fashioned decor and furniture, (but clean, tidy); needs investment
- long, dingy corridors
- very erratic free wifi (keeps breaking connection)
- cramped lobby and not really any other spaces for relaxing in
- tiny breakfast room: you may have to share a table with strangers
- breakfast: variety of foods, but all poor quality, including coffee; 'hot' dishes were tepid; tiny cups impossible for making tea;
- not very friendly staff: blank looks instead of happy smiles; some with poor English (but I also don't speak Romanian, so can't complain)
- miserly: in four nights I was only allowed 2 tea-bags - they were never replaced; why?
- street noise: I had a 'quiet' room away from the main road, but still needed ear plugs.
Bottom line: I guess if you get a really cheap rate and only stay a short while, it could be OK.

I not only had a lovely stay in the hotel, but even when I was staying elsewhere, I would often come here for lunch/dinner and a very good wine selection.
With a terrific indoor pool, this will be my hotel of choice when I return to Old Town.
