Pros:
1) Very close to Udaipur City Palace, Tibetan market and Lake Pichola
2) spacious rooms
3) Clean toilets
4) Heritage feel - this was used as a royal residence before being converted into the hotel. Typical Rajasthani architecture.
5) Quirky, idyllic waiting room with loads of character next to the waiting area. Lots of books to read. Guns and taxidermied tiger heads mounted on to the walls.
6) Manager and staff were polite.
7) Swimming pool and lawn to chill.
8) Cute cat in the lawn.
Cons
1) Feels a little dated. (our rooms were very clean though)
2) No views. Views are supposedly a big deal in Udaipur - especially lake views.
3) Breakfast was average. Lots of local breakfast options available once you step out of the hotel premises.
Would I stay again?
I would stay here if I visited with family. But I go to Udaipur alone, I would probably look for a hostel or one of those cheap lake view hotels which require quite a climb!

Deepak Acharya here, It is Nice and good Heritage property. I would love to stay again with my family. Nice thing is it is very near to city palace ( walk-able) . Although I stayed here only for one night as rooms were not available for second night.

This hotel is situated a short distance away from the lake but more than makes up with its nice garden and nicely furnished rooms with old style four posted beds. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Great food and served really well. Good old fashioned service.

We had a wonderful stay at the heritage hotel. Room had all amenities with a beautiful balcony. The food was really good and freshly prepared with a personal touch. I dont know why others had bad experience with the staff, the staff was very polite and shared all info about history of hotel and guided us for sight seeing . All thanks to them .

The property claims itself to be a heritage property however the facilities are way below standard. Very poor service, staff and management very impolite and rude. Dirty Swimming pool and lawn area , total waste of money . Avoid this property
