Got a fantastic deal on this 5 star hotel at Priceline. Having said that - my expectations were not high.
Checkin was quick and the agent was super friendly.
When I arrived at my room I noticed, that most things in the room needed a little refurbishing, repairing and updating). There were cracks on the wall, little mold stains, the water basin was showing signs of heavy usage - little tint chips, lose wall paper just to name a few. Overall the room was clean and still semi inviting.
I went to the pool - wich you have to access through the 19th floor and then walk one level up. The pool area was clean, pool cushions showed stains, the pool water was a little too warm for me...I still enjoyed swimming, as no one else was around.
If you are just looking for a place to sleep - it will be perfect - if you are looking for a 5 star level hotel in perfect conditions - you might be disappointed.

Would recommend to any travel great touring pricing
Not too many five star hotels in Jordan this is one

Hotel Regency Palace Amman- a truly fantastic place to stay in with plenty of advantages. Comfortable hotel rooms, decent personnel, delicious food, unforgettable sights from the windows and stuff like that. Thankâs for such an amazing admission, memorizing rest, and pleasant relaxing time. Without any doubt, I advice this hotel to everyone who visits Amman. I ensure you wonât regret about spending time and money; on the contrary, youâll make sure,that this place deserves it.

Right, this hotel has definitely seen better days....
The rooms are spacious and well appointed, however they are very tired and in need of a refit.
The rooms are also not very quiet - you really can hear the traffic outside. Ask for a room facing the back of the hotel to avoid the constant traffic noise.
There is WiFi in the rooms, but it is not the best - the signal comes and goes.
There was a party in a suite above my room, which went on until 4.45AM. Three times the noise stopped before starting again 30 minutes later - presumably due to complaints. Why put guests in rooms under suites that are regularly used by partygoers? Changed room on our second night to avoid further interruptions.
Breakfast is buffet style - nothing spectacular but perfectly acceptable.
In summary, more a three star experience than five stars.

The hotel reception area and main parts are all fine but the bathrooms in all rooms that our group stayed in were very dated and in desperate need of renovation, and room service was about a 45 mins wait! The bathrooms had a horrid sour drain smell and the sinks were broken and pitted enamel and peeling wallpaper. All balconies really need attention very shabby.
As another person wrote, there are parties in many different rooms at the weekend, very loud and young people shouting and playing music. We think they are young guys from families around that can just afford to rent rooms there for the night and party!!! The carpets in the dining rooms were actually filthy, and I saw a waiter drop a hand full of forks on the floor where the remains of breakfast still sat and then placing them on the place settings and not even wiping them, we washed our cutlery after that before using them!
The staff were all very friendly and helpful but no tourist info. at the reception at all not even a map. The bars in reception are all very nice and looked after but the drinks are not good you really cannot taste what drink you order, they all taste like water and expensive. They give you a little plates of biscuits and an odd dip, refuse them as they will charge you 4 Euros for it. However there is a fantastic large interesting bar downstairs called Trader Vic's that play great Sala music etc. very lively and you can dance, they know how to make a drink so go there.
All in all o.k but not a 5 star these days, plenty of other modern hotels to choose from so do you research.
