Most airport hotels I have stayed in have been impersonal . My experience today at The Renaissance was the exact opposite . The reception staff couldnât have been more helpful in addressing the error on the booking system and tried to find the best twin room . The reception manager even took me to look at 2 rooms to ensure that trey werenât affected by the noise of an event . The bar was lively and the meal was very good . We had access to the Executive Lounge and if you like watching planes this is the place to be ! It over looks the runway ! We were looked after brilliantly by the lovely and very friendly Anka. She couldnât be more helpful and it was a busy evening . We will definitely return for a night when flying out from Heathrow !

The Renaissance at LHR is our "go to" hotel when we take the United day flight from Washington DC to Heathrow. It gets in around 9pm, so we usually have time to get to the hotel, have a couple of drinks and something to eat, and then wake up the following morning jet lag free. Works for us!
I am allergic to feathers and have never had any problem getting a hypoallergenic room here. This time round there was a walk in shower instead of a bath. I prefer a bath after a long flight, and discovered later that some of the rooms have baths and they can be requested when you book. I will remember that for next time!
We ate in the bar and had excellent service from the waiter Praian and his team. The burgers were good but the drinks were a little pricy.
The bed was comfortable, and the hotel was quiet. We had no trouble getting a good nights sleep.
We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel, but the hotel did offer breakfast in the restaurant. There is an onsite Starbucks and we got coffee and croissants there.
We had a good stay and will be back again in May.

Managed my time to visit the 3rd Floor Business Lounge to be greeted by Anka who as always is very welcoming and hospitable.
She is a tribute to the Marriott/Renaissance/Arora Group and will be difficult to replace.

This is a special hotel: Close to Heathrow airport and very friendly, helpful, resourceful service. Surprising and most welcome for such a large hotel. We got an upgrade without even asking. Unfortunately we had a cancel a room that we booked without refund. Amer and Nitin did a fabulous job to permit a refund via our meals in the hotel.
This place is a find!

A stunning and well situated hotel with easy distance a free shuttle service to Heathrow airport. The hotel has a restaurant, bar, cafe and Starbucks available. The rooms are big and comfortable with all amenities, eg: hair dryer, iron with a board, safe, empty freezer and of course coffee and tea making facilities.
We are here for a dance festival/ conference and is just perfect. Excellent sound system and wooden floor, plus free water on hand and a bar open until late! What more do you want?...., very large car park!!! too.
