The staff were really nice, friendly and helpful. Every one of them. The room was great - as expected at this price it was basic but very clean - nice comfortable bed and a great shower. The hotel also has a small kitchen - great for travellers on a low budget - and a small eating area. For Internet there is a comfortable lounge and coffee is available from the coffee machine. Admittedly, from the outside the hotel doesn't look too great but I have to say that once inside, there is a warm welcome and a new world opens. The hotel location is also superb so near the centre of the city. My wife and I had a great time in Lisbon which is a great city filled with friendly people. This hotel is highly recommended for those on a low budget.

The staff were very kind when I needed to storage luggage. I cam back later after I checked out and they called me a taxi and gave me directions. The room is very small but clean, as is the wc. There is some street noise, but it is right on a busy street so easy to find
Perfect! Definitely going back!

I really enjoyed my stay! I stayed for 2 1/2 week at Residential Do Sul and don't need to try another place for a stay in Lisbon. The staff is THE BEST and the sevice is over all top notch! It's clean and you can totally relax. There is a small kitchen corner with a water boiler, toaster, microwave, and refrigerator. Perfect, again!
The wifi is only working in the livingroom area, and won't work in your room. Look at it as a much needed break from the phone! ;-)
Location wise you are nearby everything! The metro stop Intendente i literally outside the front door, and it's only 10 minutes walk to the city center. If you want to go to the beach, (for example Estoril) you can eighter walk (takes 25-30 minutes) or take the metro to Cais Do Sodre.
The area is up and coming, and after talking to the locals we got to know that it used to be worse. Today you have police walking the streets (typical in Lisbon) and i felt safe. But, like everywere you go one doesn't need to be naive, so late at night i didn't walk alone.
The only thing i have to say is a tiny bit negative, must be that there was no ventilation system in the bathroom. Luckily for us we had the bathroom beside a window, so if we had the door open at the same time as the window, it went ok. But nothing will get dry in there/it takes time, so you get creative!
Over all, stay there!
Good location and good quality

The rooms are spacious with a back terrace. The tv is the box type with Portuguese channels only. The amenities are very basic but comfortable enough. Location is quite fair. Transportation access is fantastic as it includes the famous No. 28 Tram.
