Positives
Location, very central
Friendly staff
Adjoining nightclub (if you like to party)
Negatives
Adjoining nightclub (if you don't like to party) noisy till the early hours
Room was sub standard, poor facilities, temperature couldn't be controlled, bathroom was poor quality, bed uncomfortable and tv from the 80's that didn't work, squeaky floorboards, lift broken. Very dated in general
Summary
If you are staying for a night on a budget and want to be central, or you are on a stag party then this could be the place for you. Otherwise I would probably avoid
Noisy and basic

Do not stop here if you want a good nights sleep, the racket from the street outside and the adjoining nightclub is deafening and kept going until 04.00 AM, this coupled with the spurious fire alarms going off between 01.00 and 02.00 AM alerted to us by the loud ringing of the big red bell above the sink and the mechanical street sweeper which patrols up and down at some ungodly hour meant zero snooze hours for us!.
The rooms are very basic with some pretty shaky old furniture, the overall decor and furnishings were also very jaded.
The temperature in the room was tropical even with the radiator turned off and we had to leave the window open just to be able to breathe, the rise in temperature was probably caused by the extreme heat from the hot water pipes which appeared to be heated by a nuclear reactor !
A small TV (relic of a bygone age) was provided which did not respond to any of the remote controls even after replacing the batteries.
All in all one to avoid.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Awful "hotel". We stayed here when we were going to a show in Vicar Street as it was the only place that we could find as it was the night before the Dublin marathon. We thought that we'll stay anyway despite the bad reviews because we'll not really be in the room and thank god we didn't have to stay too long in it. We were right up in the attic and it was small, cramped and the carpet was horrific. I didn't want to take my socks or shoes off to walk on it! My advice would be to stay in a hostel or a b&b because they would be a higher standard than this "hotel"! We paid â¬190 for the pleasure & breakfast isn't even included ð²!!! Never again!
Terrible, just terrible

My brother, his wife, small baby & mother-in-law stayed here thr night before they went home. It was possibly the worst hotel I've ever seen (& I've seen a lot). The staff were so uninterested in them checking in. They had 2 big suitcases, a buggy and some other bags to take to the 3rd floor, the lift wasn't working.
As the rooms were not ready we were told we could leave the bags near the reception desk and someone would take them to the rooms. They did not.
The downstairs toilets were filthy and part of the pub next door.
The bedrooms were terrible, small, grotty and had no room for the cases.
They had a terrible night without sleep due to the noise.
I met them at the airport the next morning to say goodbye and I've never seen anyone look so happy to be getting on a 20 hour flight.
Extremely poor conditions, no hot water, no heating and crack in bedroom window

Checked in and was informed that they were having issues with boiler, they offered me a free breakfast or small discount (â¬29). I chose the latter. The lift was out of order. Got to my room, no hot water (hot water scheduled for 1hour in the morning), no heating ( coldest night in Dublin), crack in the window allowing condensation and cold air to come into room. On this particular night the hotel should not have allowed guests into the hotel (for health & safety) instead relocating them to a nearby hotel.
