Almost no place to plug in your things making me unplug a lamp to do so. I had to plug my phone in across the room from the bed. The room is very dark, hard to see even in the day. Dated room needs upgrading with more sockets and more light. They have a strict policy of 2 caffeine coffee packets per day even with two guests. They refused to give more or let me trade the decaf packets for caffeine packets. Each packet is for one small cup. They were rude about it. I tried to buy my own at the supermarket but could not find instant coffee packets anywhere even at Starbucks. I had the Do not disturb sign on my door yet when I returned to my room, someone had entered in my room and delivered a huge amount of dry cleaning while I was out. It was very heavy and I had to take it back downstairs and complain that someone had violated my do not disturb request. At first they did not believe I was in room 608 and it took quite a bit of convincing for them to admit they had made a mistake. The pool is lovely but was very crowded morning and night with people just hanging in the pool hugging and kissing and not even swimming making it impossible to swim. The location is perfect and that is their selling point. But, when I tried to check in early the man was rude and said it was not possible. I was left in the streets all day after flying all night. He said I could pay 50 Euro to him if I wanted a room by 11 am... no thank you. He also said that in the future if I was arriving early I should just pay for the room for the full night the night before so that I can have access to it early. Was he mad? This is February not July. Why would I pay hundreds of Euros to have the room a bit early. I left my suit case with the man for the day so at least I could go out. I returned a half hour later and saw that my suit case was just sitting in the lobby unattended and had not been stored as promised. It had 10,000 $ of camera equipment in it. Why did he not put it in a secure place away from being stolen? I think he was just mad that I would not pay the extra â¬50 to get the room early. I go to Paris at least twice a year and have stayed in many places. I would say Hotel Saint Mark is a much nicer and more beautiful hotel which also has a pool, but they offer free coffee tea and sweets in their lovely lobby. And most importantly, they are kind.

Perfect location, big rooms, swimming pool and a steam room.
Security could be improved as elevators were operational during fire alarm. It was a fake one (fortunately) but never the less elevators should be switched off immediately.

Compliments to the very attent en hospitable british barwaiter.
Fooled and triggered having a pool, only with the confirmation it turned out that it was under construction.
They hardly greet you entering/leaving the hotel

The hotel is perfectly located to visit the Louvre and the Jeu de Paume since it faces the Tuileries gardens. Just around the corner is the Rue Saint Honore with its gorgeous stores. If venturing farther afield the Tuileries metro stop is across the street. The hotel staff is warm and welcoming. The lobby is spacious as are all of the other common areas. Breakfast is a feast of choice. The rooms are, especially by Parisian standards, generous. Great beds! We visit Paris once a year and usually look for a new hotel each time but next year ( and the next) we'll stay at the St. James and Albany!

We had a lovely stay at this hotel with a couples massage which was great also. The location was fantastic with lots of brasseries all around. Would stay here again for an easy spot to land. The room was large and spacious (the ceilings were a bit low but I didn't mind) and the bedding was nice also.
