We stayed here for one night on our trip to Nubra. The drive to this place is brilliant. The location is amazing. But we were a little disappointed to see no camps. This hotel was initially camps (tents) but over the past few years they have upgraded it to cottages. The whole idea was to camp in Nubra so it was a little disappointing to have not got that. The cottages are average. The food is decent.
The surroundings are brilliant. You get the feel of being surrounded by mountains on all 4 sides and that to soo close to you. At night, Nubra is the best place for star gazing. Get out of your rooms at about midnight and just take a stroll. There is also a river flowing in the middle of the hotel. Also there is an abandon building right in the middle of the hotel. So for the adventurous side of yours, you can go inside and explore but be careful of broken stairs and ceilings.

Great place to relax with peace

Had booked Thiksey Camp for 4 days, however since we were travelling to Nubra for a day they were kind enough to shift one day booking to their Nubra Camp. The camp is located in a secluded place but luxury wise it matches the Thiksey camp. These are luxury camps hence please do not expect too many guests and general camp like atmosphere. Great hospitality with staff from across India. Tents are spotless with all functional amenities. The food is awesome, very tasty and not typical restaurant type
Not a camp.. Disappointed.

This is not a camp...this is like any other hotel. You will loose all your excitement after a long journey to reach Nubra once reach this property.
Food quality is below average. Staff is friendly but not professional. Hotel location do not give any advantage to enjoy natural landscape of Nubra.
Very disappointed by not experiencing the madness of being in camp.
Please check carefully before making your booking.
Chamba Deluxe Camp Hunder: Relax in the lap of nature

Chamba Deluxe Camp is a cluster of well laid cottages nestled gently in the lap of nature. Earlier the tents were there but now they have been replaced by cottages. It is surrounded by small hillocks on two sides and a narrow road in the front. A small orchard in the backyard and a natural stream flowing through its compound make the location of the camp superb. We stayed there only for a night but given a choice would have preferred to stay for at least one more day. Rooms are clean and well kept, bed sheets, blankets and towels were all clean and fresh. The wash rooms are small but functional and hot water is supplied through pipeline from a wood fired heating plant for two hours in the morning.
Dinner in the evening was really delicious and more so because we were tired and hungry. The morning breakfast was fresh, tasty and sumptuous. Even the packed lunch provided by the camp kitchen was a customized assortment of stuff based on our choice.
Service is excellent and employees are polite and courteous. The manager of the camp is a down to earth person with helping attitude. Prior booking on phone or internet is essential for a hassle free stay in the lap of nature.
Great for groups

This camp is really well located - near the stream and below the climbable mountain. Its about a couple of kilometres from the (double back) camel safari. What I liked especially is they have cottages not tents and that seems more sturdy.
The amenities are clean, well furnished, and pretty private. The place was done up in 2016 so everything is pretty new and feels good. Lots of space to play around.
