We had a premium cottage but it was dark - roof painted dark brown with inadequate lighting. Bathroom ok and plenty of hot water. Fridge not working, telephone not working, tea/coffee maker (kettle) could not be plugged in where it was placed on the desk as sockets didnât work there. Nor did the sockets on one side of the bed. But the bed was clean and comfortable. Just as well cos there was a noisy âdiscoâ going on for the school group also staying. In fairness, it probably stopped by 10pm - not sure as managed to get to sleep before then. Breakfast was a disappointment- no fruit, no dosa. And only brew coffee. Staff willing but ineffective. Coffee offered when we arrived never came. Donât know how much we paid as part of a package but having seen rates advertised, suspect it is over priced. Wouldnât want to go back.

PLEASE READ TILL THE END: Sanskruti resort is the biggest scam of Gokarna.
So the background is this: i had stayed in Sanskruti in 2015, May. The service that time and the experience was so amazing that we overlooked all the bad reviews on the internet about how bad it has become now.
So this time I was traveling with my mother and really wanted to relax and have a peaceful time in gokarna (gokarna being one of my favorite spots). Our bus from blore dropped us there at 8 so since we had already requested for an early check in and had already spoken to the "general manager" some Sawanth guy. Upon reaching the resort there was no one in the reception. Finally after half and hour one fellow (Shubham) came and started his computer (did not approach us at all). We waited because last time we went there the staff were very curteous. I finally asked him that we have a booking here and that we wanted an early check-in as promised by Sawanth. Shumbham straight up denied us early check-in in an extremely cold, indifferent manner.
We didn't want to ruin our mood so we went off to kudle for bfast and come back by 1 (their check in time) which again was not suggested by the front desk. No apologies nothing. We had booked a premium cottage with the tub. They gave us a cottage that looked filthy and dark and the toilets smelt. I felt like I was literally in a cheap hotel. After much much delay and me finally losing my patience with them, they provided us our cottage.
The cottage was okay to look at, bathroom was good in this one but there were soooooo many mosquitoes in the room and several lizards would be racing every once once in a while. Just so basic. And also no intercom connection so that.means to easy access to room.service. No hot water, no proper wifi.
It felt like we were staying there at their mercy FOR FREE. After paying so much money I completely regret staying at Sanskruti. Again just to inform the reader that I am.not the kind who behaves in an entitled manner so I am.not exaggerating anything here.
My mother was also so surprised and disappointed. But since we loved the over all vibe and beaches in gokarna we stayed and tried to make the best of it. Sanskruti's experience was the only thing that was bad. If you're going to stay here then be prepared to lose your patience, treated like an outcast.
P.S: the front desk people have no people/social skills and the "general manager" was missing the whole time (we stayed there for 3 nights). When we were leaving also no words such as "hope you had a good trip" "good bye" etc. Completely ignored us. Hahahaha. Idiots.

Most of the rooms are built around couple of swimming pool, they are independent cottages and have a very nice , premium and ethnic feel to it.
Overall a good and satisfying place to be, the hotel itself is away from any beach area.
A nice and quaint place to be.

I am not one to write reviews. But this place is so disappointing. Checked in last night to find a smelly room. Tired room. Bad mattress. Sheets not clean. Very disappointed with my choice of stay. Asked to get room changed but nothing much can be done here.

they have about 8-10 cottages which looked interesting.pool is awesome. every other places is nearby. beach was also nearby 2 or 5 km . one alcohol shop was also near to resort only 10 min walk. good resort
