It was a pleasure to stay in this delightful property which consisted of bungalows nestled amongst the palm trees and other spice trees.
Our welcome was again very friendly and we were delighted with our cottage/bungalow which offered lovely facilities and lots of space. After a long drive we so enjoyed the time we spent relaxing around the pool, listening to the birds and winding down.
Evening meals could be eaten either in the dining room or outside which we chose to do, close to the buffet and it was charming. Lovely atmosphere, excellent food, and a charming ambience. Wish we could have stayed longer, but would stay again if we were to return.

On arriving at the hotel we were a bit apprehensive as my husband is disabled and there were many steps.Special thanks to Paul who went out of his way to take me around until we could find the most accessible cottage for my husband.There is a disabled parking area and we were able to get a cottage very close to it.Its a shame we had only booked one night as the hotel is set in a wonderful forest type garden.Although only a 3* it the service and room were 5*.Our cottage was tastefully decorated with a huge bedroom with a lovely velvet daybed good sized bathroom with nice toiletries and cotton bathrobes which were great if you were using the Spa.There is a delightful balcony which was nice to sit out on and enjoy the ambience etc.The food in the restaurant was fine and plenty of choice for breakfast. What makes the hotel is the lovely staff with special thanks to Paul and Shirley for taking good care of us and making sure my husband was comfortable.If we ever go back to Kerala we will definitely go back and stay longer here and hopefully the road to the hotel would be repaired by then !

Never expected a property which is so tastefully created. Right from the Entrance you are in a different world. The Reception, curio shop, Restaurant and even the travel desk is made in a way that you are forced to spend time there without even thinking of going to the Room

Great place to stay on our journey around Kerala
Great cottage with own little pool
Staff again where friendly and helpful ,
Personally I would miss out on tiger sanctuary as there are no tigers and only saw one elephant through binoculars it is also very busy from dawn till dusk

This is fabulous retreat, tucked away in the cool hills of Periyar. The food was wonderful - we kept coming back for the Malabar fish curry - and the staff were utterly delightful and helpful. Great with kids too. The manager Shirley (not sure if this is the correct spelling) was great and organised the safest and most considerate driver (Joji) for us on a day out and to our next destination, Madurai. On New Year's Eve an elephant visited the hotel. What a treat! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We'd love to come back.
