You wonât be disappointed here. Super comfortable beds, very spacious rooms, attentive staff and good location. Five star in every way. The lobby is on the 28th floor, and rooms go higher, so imagine what kind of views you get of the city so high up.
Exquisite

I have nothing negative to say about this hotel - it is in a great location (easy walking distance to Tokyo Station) the staff were polite and helpful, the rooms were spacious, clean and so comfortable. We had an amazing view, and thanks to the tip from the housekeeper at 8:30pm on a clear night you can see the fireworks at Disneyland (much to my children's delight!) And the sunrise in the morning was also a delight to watch. The beds are huge so sleep quality was sensational. It really did tick every box.
New favorite hotel in Tokyo

I travel to Japan once or twice a year. I am usually loyal to a different hotel. But after my last trip, I will never stay anywhere other than the Shangri-La.
Throughout our trip, we had a lovely stay at the Shangri-La, but it was the way they helped during an emergency on our last day that I will forever be grateful.
Around noon on our last day, I was running around getting present for people back home. Coming out of the Tokyo subway station, I tripped on the stairs, cut my forehead open very badly, was bleeding all over and was worried I had broken my nose. Luckily, the Shangri-La is directly above Tokyo Station and two subway workers insisted on walking me back to the hotel.
Within 10 minutes of arriving back in my room, the head of guest relations, Mr. Atsushi, knocked on my door and said he heard what had happened and asked if he could help. It was now 1pm and our flight back to the United States was at 7pm that night. I had gotten my American doctor on the phone and she said I urgently needed to have my forehead stitched up before I flew back.
Mr. Atsushi immediately got on the phone, calling doctors, plastic surgeons, hospitals--really anything he could thing off to help. Meanwhile, I was lying down with icepacks on my face barely able to do anything. Somehow, unbelievably, after about 45 minutes on the phone, saying god knows what to god knows how many people, Mr. Atsushi turned to me and said, "Ok, I have convinced them. Let's go."
He had somehow convinced the doctors at Tokyo University Hospital to perform surgery on me within the hour. Mr. Atsushi immediately guided me down to a taxi, drove with me to the hospital, guided me to the correct department, came with me into surgery to translate, stayed throughout and brought me back to the Shangri-La all before 3pm. It was truly unbelievable. Despite a horrible accident at noon, thanks to the wonderful people at the Shnagri-La, I was still able to make my evening flight back to Los Angeles.
I travel extensively throughout the world and I can honestly say I have never experienced such an attentive, kind, concerned, and committed staff as I did at the Shangri-La, Tokyo.
Truly, never write hotel reviews. In fact, this is my very first review because I feel that strongly about the Shangri-La.
I have forever become loyal Shangri-La. Thank you to the whole team(especially Mr. Atsushi) for their dedication, true hospitality and concern for their guests. I have never seen anything like it.
A true luxury experience!

The short review would simply say how delightful our stay was. From the in-room check-in, to the whole service in general, everything and everyone was so attentive, full of details, recognition, simplicity and friendliness. This is a true luxury experience with a very solid hard product (fabulous deluxe rooms with distinctive interior design, very functional and full of amenities) that brings you on an exotic journey, with really lovely facilities such as the Chi spa and its fabulous treatments, the Nadaman restaurant for a really gorgeous dinner experience or the pool and its amazing views. The whole property is full of charm, mixing traditional and contemporary features just with the right balance that makes Japan unique. It is one of the best service we have enjoyed in Tokyo, and perhaps in the world. We felt really welcomed, well looked after and never, ever we felt this kind of overhyped/pretention that some luxury properties sadly have more and more. Here everything is simply delicate and well thought. It is five stars all the way and my only advice to the staff would be to carry on this road and continue to innovate: they are just on track to perfection!

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is right next to the Tokyo train station which is really convenient and is within 20 minute walking distance to Ginza. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved our room and the view was fantastic. The beds were comfortable and we asked for firm pillows which were perfect. We had a minor issue with the rainfall shower head which was quickly fixed. Service was very fast and helpful. The concierge did a pretty good job helping us figure out how to get from place to place, especially as Tokyo's train system can be very confusing. They were very nice in helping us with reservations and confirming for us. A free service that we were so grateful for, was being escorted to the train the morning we were leaving for the airport. Like I said, it is really easy to get turned around in the train stations so a staff member walked us from the hotel all of the way down to the train platform. It was very helpful and they offered the service for free. They also helped us arrange train tickets, as we've had issues in the past of not getting tickets until the morning of, and the booth to buy tickets was not opened yet. So the hotel was great with that too. The gym equipment was top notch. It was definitely the best equipment I've seen in a hotel so far in my travels. The pool was beautiful and really great as well. My husband usually stays somewhere else when he travels to Tokyo for business, but said he wants to start staying there now. We will definitely come back to this hotel.
