Before used to stay aloft in Dammam , so this time stayed in Sheraton dammam, but it was my mistake , well property is very old , bathroom and all very old not functioning very well , we ordered some veg food non spicy . But our food was full spicy , service also not up 2 mark , very bad experience

Arrived at 03.00 hours in the morning at Dammam Sheraton after a long drive, expecting a warm welcome to a nice and hospitable hotel. I mean, who would expect anything less from a Sheraton hotel? But - reality hit like a chunk of ice! Not only is the hotel old, which in itself is acceptable but there was absolutely no heating in the room. The aircon was set to 16!!! degrees with an outer temperature of plus 7 degrees. Absolutely unbelievable. Yes, it was possible to increase the temperature but only marginally. Who would expect to require extra blankets in a Sheraton hotel.
So lesson learned - do not stay in Sheraton Dammam unless you bring warm clothes!

Arriving at the hotel the check-in was very fast. The reception desk were extremely helpful on many occasions and incredibly understanding. At check-out they made no fuss when someone apparently attempted to use my room number and a false signature to treat themselves to a coffee and food at the lobby cafe. They even granted me a very late check-out period.
The room is quiet big with good TV entertainment and a comfortable bed. The bathroom however was very depressing as it is very old and requires urgent renewal, it is really discouraging to use. The bathroom facilities are horrible as they have lost their shine. The hot water takes ages.
Breakfast was ordinary but everything was fresh although it was a very low occupancy, I usually eat alone at 8:00 am. There isnât much of a variety and the coffee came from those instant coffee machines instead of barista quality. The service was very slow and they tend to take ages to clear plates, or room service trays. Sometimes i would find the room next to me leaving their tray outside for pick-up when I arrive to my room, when i leave back again in 2-3 hours the tray is still there. The restaurants in the hotel area of very high quality.
As for the location there are many fast-food around the hotel, a big hypermarket and a midrange shopping centre with a local food court.

Sheraton Dammam is a depressing hotel. The lobby is big but not well lit with no flowers or any sign of life.
My room was big, the bed was comfortable , and the bathroom was clean. However, do not be tempted to pay for an upgrade to have access to the club lounge. The food is not edible. It was very bad. The sandwiches stay for the next day. Even the fruits were not well selected. There was often no one to attend to guests if one ever needed something. The coffee machine did not work one day and I yelled "hello" but no one came to help. The key cards have to be reactivated almost every day. I had to go down to the reception two times on one day to get them reactivated. And this was the case with the other people I was travelling with.
The breakfast was not bad though. And the staff were very friendly.
