We went to this place for lunch basis a friend's recommendation and we were not disappointed at all.
A beautiful bunglow set up in a serene location away from mail hustle and bustle of Ooty.
In the month of Jan when there is a slight chill in the air during noon time, having lunch in the lawns under the sun, makes the experience just perfect.
We ordered for lemon coriander soup & chicken sweet corn soup which were done well. For starters we ordered for cheese balls which was a little bland for my pallet, however peanut masala was done up perfectly with good balance of chilli and lemon.
For main course, we ordered for Chicken Stragnoff, Chicken Steak, Veg Biryani & Dal Lasooni. All of the dishes were done well.
However, the highlight of the lunch was the Adler walnut cake which we ordered. It was the most amazingly moist cake, slightly warm with a caramel kind of sauce along with a dollop of vanilla ice cream. One of the best desserts I have had. We also ordered for a brownie which was served hot with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream. Desserts at Sherlock was brilliant.
This place has the perfect weather and feel of Ooty which you would not find in most of the other places considering the overall commercialization.
Word of caution: Service is a little slow and be ready to wait for a minimum of 30 minutes for your order. But the overall feel of the place, the perfect setting under the sun & the green lawns, make the wait an enjoyable experience.

We stayed for 4 nights 14 to 18 Jan in the mountain view room 'scarlet'. The view was breathtaking. It's a heritage hotel, with old wooden floorings, tiled roof fireplaces and quaint English lawn. We were made comfortable and at home by manager sanjay, Marshall, Manuel and everyone. For quiet and peaceful holiday it's just perfect!!! I hope sherlock maintains its beautiful heritage home and gardens for us enjoy it many more years to come... Thank you Little Earth Group and especially Sherlock!!!

Amazing location and a mesmerising experience.
I would like to thank Mr. Sanjay for the beautiful room decoration and the upgrade as it was my wifeâs birthday it was really amazing.
Ms Shabnam and Mr Marshal were very friendly and always ready to help.
The food served is truely delicious and trust me this hotel has created a place in our hearts.!!!

Food is excellent services are really quick. And navigating to this place not tough at all.

We went during the new year and the property organized the party for all the guests. For me it a was perfect start for the year.

We loved our stay at Sherlock along with our adult pet dog- Scotch. The property is beautiful with lots of lawn space. Scotch loved lazing in the lawns enjoying the winter sun , Iâm sure he had the best stay of us all! Mr. Sanjay , the manager was extremely helpful and accommodating , the rest of the staff were attentive and ver hospitable as well. The breakfast spread was good, lots of South Indian varieties. Food on order for lunch and dinner was tasty and served well too. Overall, we had a very relaxing holiday and hope to visit Sherlock sometime soon!
