Compact accommodation

Hotel New Hankyu Annex is perfectly located, just a five minute walk to Osaka Station. There are many shops and restaurants outside the hotel. The rooms are very small and hard to move around. However, the location compensates for the lack of space. Our rooms were cleaned daily and we were provided a bottle of complimentary water for each quest daily. The staff were helpful with our enquiries.

Decent but not fantastic.

Short walk from Umeda train station, around 10 min stroll. The hotel looks a bit dated: exterior and interior, though the stay was comfortable.
Bed is slightly springy and rooms were equipped with hair dryer, kettle and mini fridge.
Compared to some of the smaller rooms in Tokyo of 11 m sq, this is slight bigger with a bit more space to move around comfortably for 2 pax. Though don’t put your hopes too high! It’s still small.
The bathroom though....is very dated and had some mold stains around. Toiletries were provided, including bed room slippers and an air purifier in the room. Would stay here again, though would prefer to try the hotel new hankyu instead for its location.

Comfortable Beds

We only stayed here one night and found the king size bed the most comfortable so far on our trip. The size of the room was very small with no room to store luggage or unpack but it was very suitable for one night. A 5 minute walk from the station but very difficult for the first-timer to cross (or not cross) the road with luggage without prior knowledge of the underground route.
Reception were very helpful - we used google translate to communicate that our toilet was blocked but it was fixed immediately.
The hotel was in a good area with lots of restaurants. Now that I know how to reach the hotel I would happily stay there again for 1 or maybe 2 nights.

Location is great, can access facilities at the New Hankyu Hotel that is a minute's walk away, but that's about it. Rooms are small and customer service as well as staff befit the 3 star rating. The room size is not what compelled me to give the rating I am giving it, but the front desk staff who made me feel very unwelcomed and left a little bewildered at the attitude. Third Japanese hotel during our Japan stay and definitely the worst.
Made me recall why I shouldn't book chain hotels under 4 stars.

Convenient location

Like everyone else has said, this hotel is in a great location with easy access to the station.
Our room was quite dated and the bathroom smelt of an old dirty urinal. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
