Know it's a capsule hotel... and was great!

It was my first experience to stay at a capsule hotel. I was going to be near the area and need to stay somewhere overnight. I decided to stay there for the heck of it...it's inexpensive and I was curious about a capsule hotel.
Surprisingly quiet and slept pretty well. Sure I felt like I'm going into a pet hotel (just a bit longer), but I knew that. I was on a lady's floor and felt pretty safe. The facility was very clean and they provided basic toiletries and PJ.
I'd stay again when I need a safe place to sleep for the night.

I stayed at the Shinjuku Kuyakushomae Capsule Hotel for 6 Nights, and loved it. There was always someone who spoke english at the front desk. The capsules are clean just like the rest of the hotel. the (women's) bathroom has several private shower stalls. and the lounge on the 4th floor has a restaurant. and long tables to eat at. If you've booked the next night off you can leave your luggage on storage shelf on your floor. Very convenient. it's located in Shinjuku. Only a couple of minuets walk to the station. Lots to see, do and eat. The fact that you can't use the hotel between 10am ~ 4pm is kind of a mixed bag. it take away the option of wasting time in your hotel room. but if you forget something, there is no going back to get it. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap place to sleep in Shinjuku.
Great Experience

Spent two nights here , A little hard to find but the taxi helped in the end - Had a great experience , two good night sleeps , loved the big bathroom & sauna . Feeled safe , the place is warm & clean , the rules are all very reasonable , Would recommend to any traveller to give this hotel try .

This was the best part of a bad layover in Tokyo! It was a crazy trip with getting in late, lost walking around town, and very tired. Once I got to the hotel I was able to shower and crash in my pod. It was a little short for me being a tall guy, but not bad at all. Its a community shower, so be prepared for lack of privacy while bathing. The place is clean and was a good place to crash for a night. Only bad part was the smoking in the lounge.
Great experience!

Inexpensive and comfortable for only one night this capsule hotel gives you the opportunity to try the Japanese culture. I spent one night here as I had a 20 hour layover in Tokyo. The location is very good in Shinjuku, you can walk around late at night and eat around the hotel or simply grab a bite in one of the convenient stores around the hotel. It is a little difficult to find, there is an elevator to the lobby where you have to remove your shoes and place them into a small locker before going to the front desk. You will be provided with a locker where you can store a backpack. In the locker you will find your towels and pijamas. You don't need to bring anything except fresh underwear for the next day: they provide you with shampoo and soap (public showers, not for the shy) toothbrush, razor, etc. There are common areas to relax, use your laptop, eat or watch a common TV (obviously in Japanese). The capsules are comfty but they can get hot if you close the curtain. They have a small TV with a couple of channels and a radio. You can bring your charger to the capsule and use your phone since there is Wifi everywhere. This experience is unique but not for everyone...if you are willing to try the Japanese culture, go for it...if not go to a normal hotel.
