Unfortunately when we turned up here for our booked room it hadnât been cleaned and we had to leave. The room was dated (which is fine for a budget room) but the toilet leaked so the bathroom floor was covered in toilet water. And very dirty things in the plughole etc and the sheets covered in hairs and crumbs. So definitely hadnât been changed for a while.

Best location...close to clock tower and the fort...the highest building around so the view is perfect....the owner is really helpful and so friendly...same for the staff...my room was magic...bug with balcony and bug bathroom ...all decorated in raja style....i highly recommend. ..thanks...ask for the omelett shop at the entrance of clock tower...really good in pure indian style

In jodhpur night stays are cheaper in guest houses. One of them is Shivam Guest House. It have decent rooms starting from 500 INR for normal rooms to 1500 INR for AC. It have good restaurant having good Indian and other preparations. The only problem is the steps which are bigger than normal. You will get beer here and have a great view of mehrangarh fort and jodhpur old city. Also they have lots of services like day trip around jodhpur, jeep drive to osian, oil massage etc. Try some times.

âI reached at about 4 am in Jodhpur, travelling solo. After reading the reviews decided to book a room for a few hours (to sleep :) ) Raj sir received my phone call at 5am and understanding that im travelling Solo, immediately arranged for a room. After the nap, the breakfast menu was just perfect for someone whose stomach was bombarded with Mirchi and Sabji from jaipur to Jaisalmer :) Not only is he knowledgeable but very humble and courteous. No attitude whatsoever. If you are travelling to Jodhpur and commercial/luxury travel is not your thing, let this be your first option. This guest house features in the Lonely Planet edition of Rajasthan as well. Since thanks Mr Raj for making my trip to Rajasthan a memorable one :) â
