Paul, and Carole gave us wonderful recommendations for activities, and restaurants. They even made a few reservations for us. We loved our room on the ground floor, with a hot tub spa in the bathroom. It was clean, and affordable. We ordered breakfast, which arrived promptly at the requested time. The wifi worked great, and the honey facial was incredible. Book your massages, and facials in advance, as the person who does them is not on-sight. She does come to the Silver Fern to provide the services.

We stayed here one night and loved it. Carole was very helping in helping us set up excursions and such a nice person! We had a room service breakfast that was delicious. We loved our room. The spa type tub was awesome after our long trip from the USA. The location was great. We would highly recommend this lodging in Rotorua!

Nice tidy lodge, easy parking, good location close to shops, clean comfortable rooms, great shower pressure, good tv channel selection, all n all canât fault this place, nice friendly hosts also.

Traveling with 2 small children. I had previously booked Rotorua Top 10 and Jet Park but cancelled due to the great reviews here. A mistake on my part. While Iâm sure it would be lovely for adults traveling, there really wasnât anything here for the kids. It was scorching hot and we really needed a pool. Also the rooms open out onto the car park so there is nowhere for them to play. This is no fault of the owners who are absolutely lovely and run a great place. Just didnât suit us at all. The wifi also didnât work for us and this wasnât fixed until day 3 of our stay which was frustrating (Netflix is your life when small kids have to go to sleep early in the same room as you). I did get a massage and facial at the spa and this was fantastic.

We stayed at Silver Fern and were warmly greeted by Alan and Shirley, given a map and directions and taken to our room by Alan.
The room was impeccably clean, quite spacious and included all the tea and coffee we could have needed or wanted for our stay.
The shower in the bathroom has the best water pressure of any hotel I have ever stayed in. The enclosed outdoor spa area was a wonderful treat after our drive.
The hotel is super clean, all the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful.
The only downside to this hotel is that you can hear the shower/spa from the room above.
