I stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed it. The room was small but clean and the adjoining bathroom had a lovely hot shower. The wifi was free with a good connection. Breakfast was fabulous, with an option for a cooked breakfast for vegetarians. The two staff I came into contact with were friendly and helpful. The hotel is just a few yards from the beach, and just a minutes walk away from 2 pizza shops and a chip shop. I compared lots of accommodation before booking and this came out favourably, it was much cheaper than travelodge etc with breakfast and wifi included. For £60 for 2 nights I was very happy. Room service was also included. I was left alone and had a lovely peaceful and relaxing mini break.

My wife had stayed here a few months ago and liked it. At first it looks like many of the guesthouses in its class, but a closer look reveals a lot of loving details. The little garden at the front, the dining room, the cleanliness of the rooms, good quality toiletries in the bathroom. The proprietor looks after you very well, put my bike safely into the shed and personally cooks breakfast for early departures at 7 am. The breakfast is excellent. Good coffee, good jams, freshly made porirdge and bacon and eggs. A very pleasant stay at excellent value

This was just the place... the landlord was very kind and provided a shed for bikes ,clean and comfortable bed and early morning breakfast .Delicious! £28 ..no complaints .A bit old fashioned but so is the whole town

The welcome wasn't great, the man asked my how I'd found them and I said I'd just seen them on Trivago as there was a NO VACANCY sign on the door. The on-line price was £22, the cash on the door price was £25. This surprised me, but I don't like confrontation so said nothing and paid my money. I was handed a key and roughly pointed in the direction of my room. The room was incredibly small, the light fitting very very dusty, tobacco was found in one of the draws another was green which could have been cannabis, the bed was comfortable though. The shared bathroom was filthy, hairs everywhere, I had to clean it before use, the complimentary toiletries were almost empty. Breakfast was the saving grace, it was brilliant, lots of choice and a good cooked full english, the dining room was very nice. While the price paid was low, it should have been cleaner, I would stay again if I couldn't find anywhere else, but it would not be my first or even second choice.
