Great hospitality

I was there with my wife and another family just for a day.The staffers of this hotel deserve to be commended for their hospitality. You feel welcomed right at the entrance of the hotel and throughout your stay. The ambience of the hotel is pleasant, rooms are spacious, bathrooms are large and clean. Since mine was a quick business trip, I did not have the time to explore other amenities of this hotel. I would definitely come back to this place.

Sivaraj Holiday Inn has been my home in Salem for the past four years, on every trip I’ve made to this beautiful city. I feel so much at ease and safe within the confines of this hotel. Without fail, I am always greeted with beaming smiles regardless of whether I’m in the lobby, at the restaurant or on the level my room is located on.

This year, my stay has been extended for a longer period of time. In fact, I’m still staying at the hotel while writing this review. What mystifies me is that the staff here provide exemplary service which is top-notch and second to none. One can fake it for a couple of days; not for almost two weeks. The smiles and pleasantries never die and one can see how genuine the people are behind these smiles.

Without belittling the facilities the hotel provides which have managed to remain the same over the past four years, the service seems to be growing by leaps and bounds. This is what differentiates a ‘good’ hotel from a ‘great’ one.

Right from the reception staff including Aravindan, Saraswati and Anushka, to the restaurant staff most of whose names I don’t recall, to the housekeeping staff including Dhanapal and Karthik, you’d receive exemplary service that’s second to none. Even the bellhop Prashanth greets me every time he sees me. The one missing link is Santosh, the ex-front office manager, who was extremely supportive during every visit of mine in past years. I suppose I would get to know many more people working at the hotel over the next few days of my stay here.

Despite all of the good the hotel provides, I believe that in every realm of life, there’s always room for improvement. In the case of Sivaraj Holiday Inn, I’d suggest a bit of variety in the morning breakfast. Maybe, if I had stayed just for a couple of days, it would not have mattered. Since I have been here for almost ten days, the food seems repetitive and my taste buds crave for a bit of variety. Furthermore, it would be really appreciated if the hotel provided a few more English entertainment channels on the telly. Other than ‘Star Movies’, there are no other English movie channels available. This would be a great addition especially for people like me who rely on English forms of entertainment.

Well, if you are looking for a place to stay where you wanna feel at home, be greeted with beaming smiles, come back after a hard day’s work to a comfy bed and clean room & great food, you need look no further. Sivaraj Holiday Inn is your one stop shop that caters to every traveller’s needs with finesse.

Wanted to rate 4 but disappointed on some aspects

Stayed here for the 3rd time - so definitely liked coming back. But this time, it turned out to be a disappointment right from the start. I had called them in the morning to confirm the booking and informed I was driving down from Idukki, Kerala. But when we reached the place, check in was tedious and we waited with hungry tummies for almost 20-25 mins. The room provided was not the regular that I usually stay at and to my disappointment, there was no Dish tv! They told me that they'll someone to sort that out but that help never came.

I juggle my stays between 2-3 hotels in Salem and now, I think my preference leans towards others.

A visit well remembered

I had visited this hotel Jan last week with my wife for a 2 day stay. They provided excellent service. Especially their manager Mr. Sharath and also Mr. Anand. They took every oppertunity to make our stay comfortable and happy. The trip was really memorable for their wonderful company.

And especially after knowing that it's our anniversary they arranged a surprise decoration in the room, making us almost cry. They also have a beautiful rooftop restaurant, where they arrange candle light dinners. I had one with my wife and the service, the ambience was par excellent. I know if I am coming back to Salem, I would again stay here only. Such amazing people and Such beautiful hotel. Special Thanks to Mr. Sharath for going that extra mile to make our stay such a wonderful one. :)

High hospitality and comfortable place

A beautiful luxurious design of the hall. Nice restaurant. Comfortable cozy room With an ok view. Extremely attentive staff. Especially supervisor Siva was very helpful and hospitable
If I am in Salem ever again, I d love to stay in Sivaraj again
