This review relates to the Shimmerz Lounge Bar rather than the hotel itself.. Went there for an evening meal and it was reasonable. The bar is fairly dark, and probably good for private meetings. Food was fine and the beer was standard. Reasonable choice if you don't want to be adventurous.

This is very poor hospitality... I am not happy.. I am Avi Chaudhry.. I yesterday night saying in hotel softel plaza... Rooms was very dirty.. Charging sokit is not working bed is not cleen... I am not happy that rooms... Bed Experience.. I am not coming in futchur.... Thank you

Stayed at the property to find out all was alright. The buffet spread to the rooms and also the staff were friendlies. It's easy to spot as there is a Harley Davidson motorcycle showroom right next to it and a Mercedes dealership as well. Rooms are perfectly sized with decent sized baths with all the basic amenities. Albeit, it's a stop if your traveling solo, with friends or family. Close to the city centre and the interstate modes of transport.

Stayed twice at this hotel along with our family members and I must say that I am fully satisfied. Rooms were clean, spacious, hygenic.
Staff members are very friendly and will solve your query in every possible way they can.
Breakfast spread was okay but not that great.
Location wise its a bit on the outer side of the city.
Overall a nice hotel, we enjoyed a lot.

If you've missed your bus from Dehradun ISBT and need a place to stay there are many hotels nearby and one of them is Softel. The rooms are fine. The food is lacking. There is a badly maintained gymnasium but at least there is one. The staff and service are fine. The Food though is the worst I've ever eaten. Seriously, I cannot even tell you just how bad their food is, very poor effort. There was a time Softel was known for good food but not anymore. It was overall a very average place bang on the national highway with absolutely no view except motor garages nearby. Which is not to fault it , but I cannot comprehend their pricing of late. It should be a budget hotel going by the service they provide especially the bad food.
