Me and my partner stayed here on the 19th January for a 1 night stay as have friends near by.. Upon our arrival we found that the reception staff was pretty poor (One member of staff was on training whilst the manager was just sat there plain ignorant and not help check us in) Did not get shown to our room due to not much training on the new trainee, when we got to our room we came down and stated to management (tall lady, blazer) we would be out this evening for dinner with friends and asked how would we get back in as could be later than 11pm and she stated as us management know that you will be back at a later time the doors will not be locked or if so there will be a notice on the door with a telephone number to ring night porter, as we returned back from our meal out we found the door was locked no notice on door with a telephone number which meant we was stranded outside for 40 minutes.. When we came down for breakfast there was no members of staff to show us to a table or even tell us about the condiments available, so we found our own table and waited 15 minutes before getting served for tea or coffee and are order for breakfast. On the plus side breakfast was amazing 10/10 and the room we stayed in was gorgeous.. Just a shame everything else was a let down.

This was our second visit to the Solberg Hotel and it just gets better. From the moment you enter you are forced to relax. We were upgraded to room three which was beautiful with lovely views across the open fields. The room was comfortable and warm(we wasn't even aware the temperature outside had dropped and left us with 150mm of snow during the night. Unfortunately we didn't get snowed in because it would have been great to stay longer) The food was just as good as our last visit and still has the same chef. Gaye who served us in the morning was lovely as so obviously enjoys her job. Right through to check out everyone made us feel welcome. We will be going back. Once you find this place you will want to return. See you soon Solberg.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we loved every minute! We had a lovely room with stunning views, wonderful food, all members of staff made us feel very welcome, and as it was my birthday, they made our stay feel extra special with little treats.The evening meal was outstanding, both in flavour & presentation, & our breakfast on departure so tasty! As an added bonus, we woke up to a winter wonderland which looked very picturesque!

A very much needed Post Christmas break for my husband and I after a busy Christmas period before back to work next wk. We Chose Solberge Hall as it looked like a tranquil, relaxing location to unwind, and isn't far for us for travel.
On arrival you can't help but notice the stunning, location and beauty of the Hall.
We checked in and quickly shown around then to our room which was truly beautiful "Bridal Suite" room 2 it's just been our 21st Anniversary and we always compare places to our Bridal Suite at Rushpool Hall and this we feel totally exceeded this and some mainly the relaxed atmosphere, gorgeous Views and beautiful meals that the staff literally couldn't do enough for you.
Nothing was any trouble at all! After cooking for an extended family throughout the Chrisrmas period, it was a truely welcomed post Christmas break!
Even down to the owls in the night and game gun fire during the day all added to the atmopshere of Solberge Hall we can't wait to return Thank You!

A large group of us met for a Christmas lunch , before Christmas . Staff were ok, tables set up well and attractive. The food was just terrible...turkey dry and hard wrapped in bacon !! Also tasted of plastic !Tiny sausage..over cooked and dry/hard. Veg not nice and barely warm. The chocolate pudding was quite nice but with odd tasting sauce ?
Would never go there again.
Would NOT recommend at all.
