What People are saying

Cheap but not the best option

dexterakos4 on 17/12/2017 19:26

It's not far away from the center of the city (Bus 165 - 15' away) therefore no high prices here but don't expect much. Rooms simple, service not good, restaurant is nice and breakfast is simple too but ok. For a budgeted or student traveller is good as it is also one bus away from the airport so it is well connected and affordable.

A hotel to avoid.

The hotel is not well positioned to see & do things in Warsaw, but that was our fault for choosing it! The outside looks fine & the reception area is quite good too.
We witnessed a German guest checking in & asking where he could change his money into Zloty. The assistant shouted at him, saying she did not speak his language & she couldn't understand him. He left quite quickly.
When we announced who we were she asked us to pay. My son said he had paid but she could find no record of that at all. He produced the proof quickly, in a way us older folk might not have been able to. She then 'found' the payment immediately.

That really puts you off!!

The room was small with very old handles & light fittings. It was clean though. There was no soap in the dispensers in either room. The electric sockets sparked when you unplugged stuff. There was no air conditioning.
The windows faced 6 lanes of traffic & the sound was deafening. It could not have been any louder if you had lain down in the central reservation! The curtains were hard to pull & didn't cover the space adequately.
It was disappointing all round & I would find it hard to recommend the hotel although it was cheap!!

Very clan and excellent staff

The hotel is actually quite convenient for public transport. Across the street is a small grocery store, a meat shop, a pizza shop, a petrol station, an Apteka. One bus stop south is another supermarket with outside vendors for fruit and veggies. One more bus stop is Simply a larger supermarket that is owned by Auchan.
This hotel is affiliated or owned by Best Western. I suggest they get a different IT provider. It seems the hotel staff are given excuses and lies. My wifi went out on Thursday night. I reported it Friday morning. I went out for a few hours when I returned I asked if it was repaired and I was told they found no issues with the router which I assume they checked remotely. I complained again at 17:30. I enquired again and was told a new router will be replaced on Saturday. It was not! No internet for the weekend. I asked for the business name and sent it some mail via it's website. Apparently Andrej Łegowski from Serwis Dla Hoteli Biuri Szkół does not know what good customer service is. On Saturday nothing was done except a man came out and said to wait for Monday. Andrej Łegowski did not respond back to my email. Hotels are a 24/7 business and weekends they are usually full. He has a practice of not working Saturday late afternoons or Sundays. I find this very poor customer service and not the fault of the hotel staff at all. As of writing this he still has not responded back to me.

Dissapointing

I had prebooked a wheelchair accessible room and the first room we got, was on 2nd floor. When the elevator doors opened to 2nd floor, we almost gagged from the terrible smell of cigarettes. After trying to enter the room we realised that the room was impossible to enter with wheelchair, then we went back to the reception and got another room on 4th floor. The room was accessible, and that's about the only nice thing to say; the windows are not sealed with basic silicon, so it feels like the windows are open and ice cold wind is blowing in so much, that the curtains are moving around, it's noisy because of the wind and despite the heater going on max our entire stay, it was freezing in the room. The door was broken, so it kept opening unless it was locked and we had to get a janitor to open the door one of the days because it's broken. The plumbing are so old that you wake up from other people flushing their toilets in the night, there is no pressure at all on the shower head and the furniture is not even as promised. There is no LCD TV and the WiFi is impossible to use. During the nights we also had power cuts, so my breathing machine stopped working. We also had to argue with a really rude woman in the reception because the cleaning staff had taken our towels and forgot to give us new ones, and the front desk woman did not believe us, so she gave us 1!!!! New towel for 2 people to share.
The restaurant is outrageous. We went there three people, ordered food and drinks. After waiting 15 min. The waiter came to us and said that they had no meat for burgers so the two of us who had ordered burgers had to pick something else. Then we tried to order something else. He said; I need a pen and paper for the order, be right back! We waited 1y minutes more and then found him refilling the morning buffet for next morning! Asked him if he had forgot us and then he replied: I'm alone here, you have to wait! We waited almost 15 minuted more then decided to pay for our drinks and then left. I have never ever been treated that poorly and rude from a restaurant before.

No matter the amount of stars on a hotel, these things should be basic and I will NEVER return to this terrible place.

Clean - and very comfortable beds

Eva S on 09/01/2017 17:52

The true professionals of this hotel are the cleaning staff. The room was very fresh and clean. The hotel is oldish but ventilation, plumbing, heating is perfect. Best beds experienced in Poland. I would have felt more welcome in the hotel after being out if the staff at the reception desk had looked up and said hi or just nodded as people came in through the front door. Marta was very friendly, though.
Breakfast was ok, bus stops close and super market by the gas station nearby was convenient.
