Hostel about 20 minutes walking distance from the central railway station,on the beautiful river Maas,walking distance from the city centre.The staff was friendly and helpful; the only shortcoming is that there is no washing machine.

Top family vibe to this hostel. Plenty of families and less of a traditional hostel you may think.
Decent location and a short 10 minute, pleasant walk into centre.
All rooms and areas were clean and tidy. Beds were a bit hard but you are not paying 5* prices!

I liked this hostel. It was large, had a good atmosphere and some nice food. I was super surprised that the barbecue was as good as it was. I do not regret eating as much as I did. The staff was a bit flustered, but other than that, the stay was a good one. I would recommend, but not for an extended period of time as it can get a bit crowded and boring. They did have a good breakfast also (with live music...?). It was nice and filling.

We booked a family room at Stayok. Location is perfect-next to the river with a large terrace facing the river. Within 10 walking minutes you are in the city center. Nice large central area with snooker table and soccer table and free wifi. The family has 2 bunk beds which can be unfolded on the base layer so you can have 2 people sleep on ground floor. Seperate toilet and shower. You need to press shower button every minute... the room is small without any comfort and noisy with (young) people arriving and leaving durinb the night and early morning. We paid â¬220 for 2 nights excl breakfast- we would have paid â¬25 extra to find a more comfortable family room elsewhere- it is not too low budget afterall for what you get...

we had a private room overlooking the river. when we arrived the receptionist was helpful and informative about the area. there is plenty to see and do in Maastricht and the environs. a visit to the caves is a must! boat trip to Liege was good also. stayokay is close to town to go for meals or can eat there. sit outside on the veranda and watch the world go by, relaxing in the evening.
