This was my second visit to sunflower guesthouse, the first 2 years ago with my husband. This time i am travelling with my two young daughters (11 & 13). This guesthouse is everything you need in kolkata at a budget price - staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are clean, and it is a very safe place to stay. Highly recommended.

We arrived quite late and we're "welcomed" in a let's say rude manner. The price for a room offered by the doorman changed just a couple of minutes later when we were brought to the manager, and it grew with an extra zero. The "manager" acted very impolite and disrespectful. We left with sad faces.

On seeing from outside it looks like a old building but from inside it is beautiful.we got a very spacious room at a worthy price. Cleanliness was good. Best thing about this is that it is situated in park street which is very close to eden gardens, victoria memorial, metro station.

We checked in really late but they were still up and welcomed us very well.
The rooms were kept tidy and all solutions provided time to time and whenever required.
Food was good and loved the stairway and old style lift. Overall really satisfied

Very good was a lone traveler and stayed there 4 nights and loved it. The rooftop was amazing and the staffs at the hotel was really good. Very cheap compared to it and Park Street is very close and good restaurants and McDonald's is nearby. Would love to go again. An old colonial building and most important was clean and for budget traveler.
