Needed a place to crash while waiting for a late flight home. Got a hot shower and a rest in before going to the airport. Room was just fine. Clean and all the amenities I needed. Did not eat there but food is available. If only I had known my flight would be cancelled before I left I could have stayed the whole night...

I am staying here at the moment and very satisfied on the services. So far connection is good and I really love the foods. Nice place to be with a family there is a nice pool also there. It is really nice if they provide a spa facility too.

We used this hotel for a medical conference for about 40 people, and about half of them stayed in the hotel over the course of the training. Initially, we were pleased with the hotel. It was clean, comfortable, and the rooms were good sized with decent bathrooms. Also, the food was slightly better than what I would have expected. Also, the conference room was nice, and it served our purposes well.
Despite some good elements, there were some significant issues:
1) Even though the food was decent, they kept running out of it during our meals despite everyone taking moderate portions. Also, the restaurant was frequently out of items we would try to order that was listed on their menu (often only about 25% of the menu was actually available).
2) They were doing major painting in the restaurant DURING one of our dinners. The fumes made eating nearly intolerable, and they did not even think to stop until we asked them to do so.
3) Their AV equipment was broken, and they started out by providing us the worse one when there was a better one not being used. Yet, even this one did not work well either.
There were some other minor issues, but the point is not to pick out everything since no place is perfect. Honestly, I would have left there giving the place a 5 out of 10 if this was it. However, the worst was yet to come.
We came to the desk early to settle our bill. At first, they were not prepared, but they eventually got us our bill. We had already made an initial cash deposit a month earlier. We had also confirmed with them the use of our credit card several weeks prior, and they assured us it would not be an issue. However, when we went to go use our credit card, the problems began to compound. First, they charged us an additional 3% to use our credit card. They had not told us this at any point prior, but I can see their reason for this. Next, they ran our card, and they said the credit card required a PIN to go through. This was infuriating. To begin with, there is no PIN for my CREDIT CARD (not debit card). I have used my card around the world, and I have never been asked for this nor have I had a problem with it. So, we moved on to a personal credit card that we had used successfully IN THEIR RESTAURANT THE DAY BEFORE, but the same request was made for a PIN. We assured them their was flaw with their system, and we even confirmed with our credit card companies that there were no issues with our cards. But, they would not listen, and they insisted that this was normal. Normal? I have used this card hundreds of times all of over Africa, Asia, and Europe (and the US of course). This was not normal. "Graciously" with much huffing and rolling of eyes, they agreed to let us wire them the money when we got back to the US in a week. However, when I went to reconcile my accounts and convert the fees back to US dollars, I realized they had given us a horrible conversion rate of 3.99 Cedi to 1 USD when the rate at that time was 4.3 or better. Since we wired the money to their bank, I know they got at least 4.3 Cedi to the US dollar. Even when you include wire transfer fees and assume they got a low rate and not the best, they still overcharged us by at least $300 USD. When our Ghana leader came back to them to explain this, they had the audacity to not only refuse any refunds but to say that we owed them more money. Wow!
There were so good parts of this hotel, but the bad outweighed the good.

Best for conference and business. I have been lodging there on most occasions for business. Very professional staff committed to excellence. Best staff awards seem to keep team well motivated. Meals are great. I love their snacks. Rooms are large especially the new block. Easy access to town and back. Airport pickups are timely. Will keep coming to sunlodge always.

Its average hotel but for swimming pool lovers, its a nice place. For vegetarians they have nothing in their restaurant menu. Room sizes are too big. There is a problem of Internet. They have wifi facility but most of the time it won't work.
