I would give this hotel 5 Star (of course it does not mean its a 5 star hotel). This is located very close to Keolodeo Bird Sanctuary. I booked this online but did not expect this to be so good. Rooms are huge, clean and with good view. Staff was unexpectedly friendly. The manager (Sanjeev Kuntal) was so helpful that I made him a friend. Chef, cleaning staff and guard all are very gentle and helpful. For the price I gave, I think this hotel deserve 5 star rating. I want to thank you all hotel staff members. However, pool was not usable because water was not clean, but I did not plan to use pool anyway.
Wish i could give -5

Background:
I was traveling with a friend of mine for a visit to Bharatpur bird sanctuary. We booked the costliest of the rooms with breakfast "premier room", at a discounted price of 3000 inr. When we reached we realised it was more used for weddings, and that's how the locals know it as, "Swaraj marriage hall". We reached in the evening, ventured out for dinner, and came back for a good sleep at aound 9pm.
PLEASURES:
The room was spacious, the staff was courteous, the tea was good, and the bed was comfortable to sleep. That's where all the goodies end.
DISSAPPOINTMENTS:
The moment we entered the room a strange nervousness gripped us as we looked around. The room was very unkempt, screaming for maintenance. The woodwork was coming off. The small fridge was not working and dirty. One of the support rods was sticking out of the ceiling with wires. The sofa was torn near the armrest, and was smelling unhygienic. The curtains were hanging at a distance from the corners with enough space to peep into the room from the sides. The washroom was used, and not flushed. No one bothered inspecting the room.
In the evening when we returned to the hotel for bed, we found that, the washroom seat was broken from inside and outside, and created a mess when we flushed for a trial. Water was flowing out from the crack at the bottom across the round shape of the seat like a water fall. Thank God we did a trial.
In the morning, we had to request for a spare room key to use the washroom, and it took them time to find out a spare room. We ordered breakfast to pack and go. They promised 20 minutes, and took almost an hour to prepare and pack. And to top it all foot us a bill of 450 Inr which we already paid online as part of the deal. It took us time and effort to have that settled. We lost more than an hour of morning bird sighting time in all this (our purpose of visit).
My outlook:
Had i been with my family, i would have immediately checked out of the hotel, without worrying about the money lost. Since we were two guys, and we had to spend a night we already paid for, we decided to just manage.
Suggestions for travellers:
At a slight premium(500 inr) you would get deals with 3 star hotels near the sanctuary. We tried the buffet dinner at "udai villas palace" saw the hotel from inside. It's my pick for the next visit with family. There are other options as well located conveniently near the sanctuary. Bird sighting is best if you reach by 7.30am in winters. Don't strain if you are not physically active, or with family, its a 8 to 10 km walk with frequent stops, take a rickshaw. Took us 4 hours on foot while and we did not reach the centre, which was further away. Guide with spotting scope is a must have, else it's no fun without them.

I booked this place looking at the great reviews it has received, but sorry to say, it was an average stay, nothing great. Not sure how people rated 4/5 stars. There was nothing great about this place.
The place is large, but not maintained well. The lawns are nice but the swimming pool was so dirty that you wouldn't want to sit near it, forget about going inside.
The food is less than average - and super expensive. Don't get carried away by the cheap prices they offer for the rooms. The strategy is to recover the amount from the food. A stale chicken plate costs about Rs. 400 and you won't be able to even eat it. It was that bad. The only decent thing was the yellow daal and the egg curry. We ordered some chicken fry, which was not too bad. But the food is much more expensive than you would imagine. The rooms are big but the mattress was very hard.
The location is okay, as it is close the the park but not exactly opposite the park as they claim it.
This is basically a wedding place to be honest. If you happen to stay here for whatever reasons, walk down to the Highway dhaba for a decent meal at less than half the price.

Huge Property, Clean pool and lush green garden. The property is well maintained, location being perfect. The resort looks beautiful at night. The hotel serves nice home-like food. The dal being the best.
