We ended up renting 3 bed suite, which was extremely clean, and good sized bedrooms. Beds were of good quality. Only negative was short of Utensils, in the kitchen.
A negative on this Hotel is they do not have restaurant, and we ordered some food from a place called Mirch Masala (this was leaflet/menu left in the folder of their room) Not only did this restaurant over charged us for 2 items , but the food was very poor quality. We got refunded the monies for overcharge, but it tends to spoil the good image of this hotel.
Their dining area has some moulds on the wall, but they had a good variety of food available for breakfast.

Located close to ferry and surrounded by interesting streets and restaurants. Room was spacious and very comfortable with a lovely king size bed. Very clean hotel with an excellent breakfast. Being fussy, the only reason to miss the 5th star was the decor in reception and restaurant could do with a makeover. Would definitely recommend it.

Arrived at 5 a.m but due to a lack of notice by Southall travel (promised when booking) about an early check in had to wait till 9 a.m. while the room was prepared. The in room amenities have been enhanced to include items such as a comb,toothbrush/paste,shaving kit besides all the other items. The rooms are cleaned daily. They accommodated our request for a less noisy room without hesitation. The breakfast on offer was a slight disappointment as the range on offer is the same day in day out.Our flight was very early in the morning and their policy is to charge half the daily rate for an evening check out. Management need to consider having a couple of rooms set aside for guests to freshen up after checking out. The location is ideal for the ferry to Zanzibar and for eating out at the various locations.

We stayed at Tanzanite on two separate occasions. Both times we were pleased with the room. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Dar Es Salaam has many mosques and the one down side is the call to prayer at 5am each morning. Even on the high floors the noise carries through. Perhaps bring ear plugs. Good value overall and we would stay again.

this hotel is very clean and nice.the beds are so comfortable, the breakfast is full of strange list of Foods.
But, the hotel could do better in terms of:
The staff could smile to guests. It is very creepy when every staff is looking at you stone faced.
You are not allowed to bring visitors into the rooms- even your mother or kid. this is terrible given the fact that the hotel does not have anywhere to sit if you want to meet someone. I Guess this is for understandable reasons related to cleanness. But, it is also against guests' rights and it doesn't feel good.
I still do not understand why they needed to put someone inside the lift all day and night. it is the creepeist hotel experience I have ever had in my life. it is so wiered to go into an elevetor with another dude. plus
The bathroom in my room had strange smell.
I felt the three days I spent in this hotel were so long because of the lack of freedom I had.
