This place is not one of the ultra luxurious places. Also there is a bit of the traffic noise that comes in. So some white noise is there during the day. And language could be a slight problem though that is not a show stopper. But that is where the problems end. The garden there is exquisite. While going for sightseeing we went to a few gardens both spice and flower but the hotel garden was the best. Here you really walk down the garden path. In some of the reviews that I read before going there it was mentioned that the food is not great. However I found it the opposite. The food was wonderful. There was no need to look for other options in the city. The SPA was also very good. One must go there with the understanding that this is not a massage parlour but ayurvedic massage treatment. In the evening one can sit in the balcony and have a hot beverage and enjoy the sounds of the town from far and also be secluded from the hustle bustle. It is like being in heaven and looking down on the earthlings. People with joint pains may find this place a little bit difficult to navigate. So ask for the ground floors as one might not be able to climb the stairs. I this could be turned into a serviced retirement home then this would be heaven for the elderly. There are a lot of activities for children also. But if you are not there for the tranquility then you would get bored by the second day.

The stay was memorable as far as the location of the resort, the food etc. But the service provided by the staff tops them all. We had two wonderful days there and left happy as we can be and drove away. We were about an hour away from the hotel and received a call from Jayesh, one of the reception staff telling us that we left one of our cell phones in the restroom at the reception area. The best part was not only Jayesh was able to identify the owner from previous interactions but also offered to deliver the phone at the location we were. At our suggestion he packaged it so securely and delivered to us through the messenger we sent. Also, he followed it up until he knew that the phone was received safe and sound. What a service. Kudos to the Tea County staff.

The property is good but is a bit old. However, it is probably the best resort/hotel available at Munnar. It is at Munnar per se, unlike many other resorts/hotels which are located outside the main town. Small landscape gardens are present throughout the property, surrounded by scenic mountains.

I booked ktdc munnar looking at travellers pictures and wanted to try and stay at this place considering it is right in the center and near all sight seeing places.
Was I surprised at the location, rooms, service , yes I was. I made the right choice . For the price, the rooms and location is really very good. Go for the premium rooms so that you get space. In the morning you will have birds chirping near your window. I can go this place again.

Lovely place with lovely grounds that are beautifully kept. All the rooms were in blocks separated by the landscape garden. Short walk to the village of Munnar.Lovely food friendly staff. Room was very nice but âIâ block rooms were all a bit cold but heaters were provided. A1 and B1 were super rooms. Definitely the best ones! Nice village with friendly people.
