I have stayed in both Maple Regency and the boat jetty. I can say that they are a kind staff and management with affordable, hygenic rooms and safe environment which is indeed the basic needs while searching for a hotel. WIFI is not a basic need, it depends on people's desire for it.

The boat jetty is actually the lifeline of Kochi city. People living in Vypin, Fort Kochi, Mattancherry are dependent more on boats than on buses as it consumes less time, avoids traffic and cheapest mode of transport.

If you are planning to stay in Ernakulam for travel purpose, this is the best place to stay. The hotel is exactly opposite to the Ernakulam boat Jetty. You can easily take the boat to visit Kochi. The hotel staffs are good and very hygienic. They have single bed rooms, which is really value for money for solo backpackers. There are many restaurants available nearby. Overall it is a good budget hotel in Ernakulam.

If you find yourself in kochi and looking for a hotel which really cares you will find this place quite a find. The manager /owner goes that extra mile to make your stay a memorable one. He is also good source of information about his area ,what more could you want. He was if I remember about to open another hotel close to ooty which should also be a success

i spend two nights here ..very good place to stay for..good rooms...good staffs.. hygienic rooms..good service also... recommended... the single rooms.. double rooms all kind of rooms are available.. sit out is also available here..
