I have a dirty secret, whenever I am in Muscat I stay at The Chedi even if I tell everybody that I stayed elsewhere. The reason being that I hate to make people jealous. I have been a guest here more times than I can remember and have never had a single negative experience. The food is outstanding and eating on the beach in the moonlight is a must-do. The service is world class and I can arrive and not leave the hotel for days, which is surprising as Muscat is a great town with lots to do.

We had a really great babymoon. Please be aware that very few excursions - like desert walk or snorkling - are available when pregnant bc their insurance doesn't cover it. We really loved our stay, but the service especially at the pool and restaurant was slow

We had a fantastic family holiday here. The service here is excellent, a small reception and dark lobby give way to a light, spacious, well appointed hotel with a great selection of restaurants. We had a club suite which was roomy and quiet, with access to the club lounge which is terrific. Only one pool for kids, that wasn't a problem at all, and the pools are better than the beach.Very accessible and visible management. A special mention for Fabio, the F&B manager. We had a problem but he couldn't have been better in resolving it.

I called to make a booking on 04.02 at 6:30pm and the telephone operator told me that reservation departmant is closed so I should call the next day and closed the phone in my nose.This behavior is not normal for 5* hotel that is charging 1000$ per night.Good to know so you don't book and pay for rude service.

Very expensive for what you get. We had one night there as a getaway and it cost well over £800 with food / drinks and we really didnât go overboard. Even that would be acceptable, after all itâs not cheap in Oman, but only if it was amazing, unfortunately itâs just a nice hotel which is starting to show itâs age, there are many better - Shangri-La for instance
