Went there for a friend's birthday. The room we paid for was not up to standard. The bathroom has mould and it was not as clean as I hoped.
Although I complained I was given an insulting small discount.
I won't be going back
If you do stay there avoid room 24

Booked this hotel for its location with a degree of trepidation given some of the reviews.
No need. Admittedly we stayed on a Monday night so the bar was not in full swing. However for the price itâs a really lovely little hotel with good amenities and the breakfast was very good and very well presented.
There are rooms in an annex if you are concerned about noise.
If every hotel on our trip is as good as this for the price we will be well pleased. Secure parking on site as well.

Afternoon tea very disappointed. Sandwiches very poor quality. Cakes dry not good. Staff not attentive. Wasn't asked if we wanted more tea etc.
Love the venue would return for a drink.
But definitely would not recommend afternoon tea.

We went here for afternoon tea and it was surprisingly great! The selection of teas ranges, the price was reasonable and the baked items were great! If I could find any fault it was that we would have to wait long periods before we got served since the waiter is in a different room. Other than that I would have given this place a full star rating

It is regret that this is a negative report. We were a party of three looking for somewhere for lunch. Walking into the Hotel I had to disturb two members of staff that were busy chatting at the bar and not paying us any notice. The question I asked were to we could go for Lunch, the surprise answer was we don't do lunch. My replay do you do anything, we were told afternoon tea. As it was raining we decided to give it a go. BIG MISTAKE. One pot of tea and one coffee arrive a full ten minutes before the afternoon tea that contained sandwiches so why were we not offered that option, all we got was a don no. .The third cup of tea finally arrived after a couple of prompts. The scone was microwaved and hard.
