It was my first stay in the hotel and was there for a night. The room was good and spacious. It was a partly sea facing room. For breakfast you need to walk for sometime which was a little complex. Overall a 3 and a half for the stay

overall a disappointing experience . the location of the hotel is excellent but the building is quite run down . the rooms hygiene level is average . linen furniture etc old and dull. not a fresh feeling in the rooms .

Business trip. Booked by the organisers. Very quiet despite the popularity of the area. Very friendly staff. Good WiFi connection. Saw all the negative comments and I do not see anything negative here yet!
Moderate Maintainence of facilities

Rooms are ok but zym facilities plus maintenance of washroom at zym are not good. Food is ok. Steam room was not working properly and even maintenance staff was not active. Wash area near swimming pool was not clean .
In Dire Straits. Not to be visited ever again.

This is simply not a worthy Taj property. I am still in disbelief at how much of a disgrace this Hotel is! The check in was quite casual and had to wait more than half an hour for the room besides checking in at 2p.m. The rooms are dilapidated and though the beach is located on a beach the view of of the service area for the hotel. The room itself was kind of spacious but the amenities are very limited. The mini bar snack were stale even after complaining for two consecutive days. A long walk to the shoddy all day diner which offers a poor spread. The food was below average with not much variety. The Lobby, corridors and lift were almost always stinking and I mean really foul. There was just one employee available at the reception after 1100pm....I could go with the list of issues I have faced with this place. What was most unlikely of a Taj property is that besides so many complains I did not ask for the Manager nor did he even bother to initiate a courtesy of finding out about the problems and discomforts. Shameful!
This hotel was more a waste of days, not just money.
The 2 stars is only for the staff that was courteous and a lovely pool view.
My advice would be to stay across at the Novotel.
