Myself and hubby stayed two nights here last month. Staff couldn't have been nicer, the hotel is located just a few minutes walk to the city centre, the street the hotel is located on has a lot to offer with lots of bars and restaurants.
The food in the hotel is just incredible, the breakfast on offer was amazing. Lots of variety, definitely something to suit everyone.
It really is the perfect place to stay, we will most definitely be making another visit soon ð

well appointed site with parking. within 20 minutes walk all the attractions of the city are accessible. many friendly bars & eateries within a stones throw. comfortable room & bedvery helpfull reception staff, will give good references to places to visit.

Arranged to meet two business clients in the foyer of the Metropole which is set up Cafe Style at 9.30am.
It was an ideal location for all concerned and we were also eager to visit as it recently changed ownership and we were interested to see what changes if any had been made.
There were no staff to be seen in this area of the hotel and the coffee machine sat in the corner unattended! The bar area with another barrista coffee machine was also unattended!
I then sat down for a while but nobody approached me so I then asked the gentleman working in reception who looked like a manager if it was possible to order some coffees for a meeting and he instructed me to go to the hotel restaurant at the rear of the hotel where they were serving residents their breakfasts!!
Meanwhile I heard the same staff member on a radio device ordering coffees from the restaurant for various customers in meeting rooms and in other areas of the hotel!
I called my clients who were on their way and arranged to meet them in the nearby Montenotte Hotel instead where we were met with smiling faces and had a cup of hot coffee and a lovely fresh scone in front of us within 5 minutes!

on arr the hotel looks huge and when inside you really see the real side of the hotel. the entrance is grand with great customer service on arr. they gave us free welcome drinks for the bar as we drove from Belfast that day so that was a really nice touch. b/fast is good full English cooked to order a great selection of breads cereals juice tea coffee all you need to start the day . the room was a good size comfy with tv hairdryer kettle and free products in the bathroom and plenty of towels . we also used the sauna gym and spa which was in good clean order towels provided but you need to buy a swim hat 2 euros or bring your own . cork was a great experience plenty to see and do the bus stn is 2 min walk from the hotel which has a great view of the river and only a 10 min bus ride to the airport 3 euros . all in all I would and will use this hotel again as great for its price

very well located for restaurants and for exploring the city. friendly and efficient staff. Comfortable room. Great breakfast but lukewarm. The swimming pool looked lovely. Too much jazz being played in foyer and restaurant!
