Stayed at the Imperial Palace and had a very satisfying stay.
Rooms are clean, grooming products are laid out in the washroom, staff is very attentive to guest requirements and the breakfast was simply and nice.
I would say that this is a very comfortable hotel to stay in Rajkot.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights. At the time of checking in, the reception staff was arrogant and uncooperative. He offered us initially, a choice of rooms, which were street facing or at the rear. We requested a room at the rear to be away from the noise. But we were given a room right next to the elevator and the room was street facing. When we entered the room, it was not set up properly. There were no towels, soap, shampoo,bathroom mat and other standard items. When we called housekeeping, the Housekeeping Manager came to check as if we were lying and was adamant that the room was set up. A complete disregard for the guest needs. The restaurant staff seemed unmotivated and the buffet choices were limited. We had breakfast and dinner at this hotel. During one of the meals, we noted fleas in our food. When we complained, all we got was a "Sorry". The restaurants were busy with local clientele and there is a complete disregard for hotel guests. We were requested to go to the front desk to do a reservation. Very unprofessional. During checkout, the housekeeper came to check the status of our rooms and informed us that a biscuit was missing and he would charge us. In fact, we did not have any minibar items. Since the rooms were not prepared for our stay, it could have been from the prior guests. However, we were very uncomfortable with this accusation. Even during checkout, the reception staff left me to attend to another guest who had arrived after me. It was after I requested to be attended he paid heed to my needs. I have traveled all over and stayed at lots of hotels, but it appears that this hotel staff have become very complacent due to lack of competition.

For Rajkot - in my opinion, its one of the BEST hotels to stay at. I wonder if Abhishek or the Hotel Manager will take any consideration that this has been our hotel of choice past 6 years.
The new wing has very nice done rooms. The price has always been an issue.
But the restaurants (all of them) are always full - that says a lot of the CHEF and his staff and the food preparations.
Suggestions: Pls check the internal wiring of room 288 as we had experienced a spark n outage. Only one iphone was being charged.
Though the staff was very prompt in coming to fix it. Suggestion - to have all internal wires checked.

its definately not upto standard five star hotel level like a five star would be anywhere else so do not get influenced by the five star tag and pay hefty amount rather there are much better options available in rajkot even nearby there is a very nice hotel much better than this

We have stayed at this hotel in the past and had a great experience at the time (2015); so this was our second visit to this hotel and things have changed significantly!
The property itself is decent and our overall experience was good. However, the staff is untrained and rude which makes for a not so pleasant experience.
We did not have any shampoo in our room, so we called housekeeping. Two people came in to the room to make sure we did not have shampoo. They then had to go back to bring some. While checking out, we mentioned this to the checkout staff and a Mr. Abhishek Sharma - started arguing with us about how they always have shampoo in the room and got rude and belligerent. Another front office staff member who was the only courteous staff member - Mr. Husain had to intervene and calm the situation down. And although we left a message for the General Manager Mr. Chirag Patel with our phone number, we did not receive a courtesy call or a message from him. Which shows us poor customer service at the hotel.
Also, they must have excess labor pool here, because we had two guys taking our bags to our room - which were 2 small overnighters.
Overall, a huge disappointment and I know we will not be staying at this hotel again.
