Luxurious but far out of town

The rooms are large and super comfortable, the staff are courteous and friendly, the breakfast is glorious with freshly made dosas to order. BUT you donât remotely get a taste of historic Jaipur staying here. The view is of neighbouring concrete buildings sites. Itâs a 30 min drive into the centre of town. I would rather stay somewhere with real history and character, rather than somewhere which is imitation Mughal. A very gloomy bar too. It is only a few minutes from the airport, so if thatâs what you need then perhaps itâs worth considering.
2 nights at The Lalit Jaipur

We had 2 nights at The Lalit Jaipur. A very stylish and elaborately decorated Atrium. The rooms are spacious, mine looked back into the atrium, the water feature and the main restaurant. The room was nice but looking a little jaded and in need of an update, that said it was comfortable, as was the bed.
My issue with this hotel is that there were Indian children running up and down the corridor (tiled not carpeted) in which my room was situated, yelling and screaming all the time, the door and wall facing the corridor had no soundproofing it seemed. I reported this to the front desk but nothing was done, in the end I told them off myself but later they were at it again, I do not blame the Hotel for this, it seems Indian parents have no control over their children at all. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant downstairs was okay, certainly not 5 star quality or service. I think this hotel is trading on its past reputation frankly I was disappointed.
Love this place !

We love love love this hotel. Spacious, clean, sound proof, modern room. The hotel staffs were friendly and professional as expected from a 5 star hotel. The hotel didnt have the room that we ordered and with zero hassle offered us an upgrade.
We saw a few wedding parties took place so I think this is a preferred place to have a fancy wedding. We went to another 5 star hotel 3 mins away. Naw .. we love this hotel better. One thing for this hotel to consider is upgrading the pastry offering at the coffee shop.

Visited hotel for a wedding, though the hotel was packed with wedding and few corporate crowd, Team was with full smile to greet the guests,
Tried Sizzlers at their restaurant, as a Sizzler lover I loved it.
On the whole Hospitality at its best
Good modern Hotel that manages to maintain a feeling of India

A modern hotel but thankfully unlike some others they don't forget that they are in India and keep some Indian touches such as a cultural show each evening. There are occasional misses with staff but generally above average for this type of Hotel in India. Big problem though is if you are unlucky enough to be there when there is a wedding. The very loud music is obtrusive and each time I rang reception (12.30, 1.30 and 2am) I was told it would finish in 5 minutes. It finally finished at 2.20. Not great if you have an early start.
