For a larger Auckland hotel we felt the service from all staff was professional, courteous and friendly. Check in and out was fast and efficient. Decor was nice throughout, our room wasnât overly large but had everything we needed, clean and super comfy bed. Little extras like choccys made it special.
The pool and spa area are definitely worth a visit as are the saunas located in the changing areas.
Drinks in the lobby were a nice start to the evening, again great service. The high tea looks amazing and worth returning for.
Restaurant 8 had delicious food and good service however buffets are not my favourite as they lack ambience and intimacy.
Location is away from the main waterfront, restaurants and shopping area - about a 25 min walk - a shuttle or taxi would be needed at night

From the moment we arrived the overall feeling was welcoming, friendly and efficient and reassuring that the organisation was on form. Our room was superb, beautifully decorated, clean and spacious. Everything had been considered. Best of all was the most amazing breakfast.. Take your time to make this the meal of the day including your chocolate fondue dessert! Would very happily stay here again. Great team.

We stayed many times at The Langham so was a little apprehensive as to what to expect at Cordis. We loved the quirkiness of what The Langham had. We were pleasantly surprised. The rooms where so fresh and the colours and furnishings were a great choice. Loved it. It was great to be welcomed by the same friendly staff. So apart from the refurbishment everything was the same. We loved it and weâll be back. It will always be our getaway Hotel to go to. The quietness is awesome. Itâs up a hill, but they do supply a free shuttle service to town and back. Itâs a good walk though if youâre up to it. Once again thanks for the memories.

We recently stayed at the Cordis hotel for 4 nights post cruise. The hotel was The Langham when we originally booked, but they notified us ahead of our arrival regarding the name change and updates the hotel was doing.
We had 4 adults staying in a suite and connecting deluxe room on the 5th floor (517 & 513). The rooms were beautiful. The new decor is lovely and feels open and light. We also love the convenience of having the half bath/powder room in the suite.
The linens on the beds were soft and luxurious, providing a great nights sleep.
The bathrooms are well laid out, with plentiful hot water, and excellent water pressure in the showers.
I will note that the air conditioner did not cool as well as we wouldâve liked in room 513, but worked great in 517.
Our interactions with the concierge staff were mostly positive with Frederique standing out as the most helpful and friendly. She is a gem!
The restaurant 8 served a fantastic, very extensive breakfast buffet. It was one the best weâve ever encountered during our many travels.
During our stay the one small issue was the Club Lounge switching from the ground floor back to the 10th floor. It required us going to the front desk to have our keys recoded as they wouldnât work in the elevator to get us to the 10th floor. It would have been nice if we would have been notified that we needed to do this, rather than us having to make an extra trip down to the lobby. However, this was a small issue, and quickly corrected.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Cordis and would definitely stay here again.

I like the hotel and enjoy the trip,especially the guy who offer the service in the front desk and the concierge center. In the stay period, I feel excellent and a experience worth remembering. Location is good and convenient.
