We stayed in a club room for 4 nights and although the rooms are not particularly spacious and need updating somewhat we were very comfortable. The club area is separate from the rest of this large hotel and has its own restaurant and swimming pool. We found it very relaxing to sit in the shade near the pool with a cold mango lassi and a good book! At first we thought the speedboats were too noisy and that we might leave but after the first day they seemed to be more infrequent, or perhaps we noticed them less. Food here was good and on our last day we were treated o a feast on a banana leaf with about 14 different dishes beautifully presented - delicious!

We have just stayed at a jewel of a hotel in Kovalam. From the moment we arrived Rekha (guest services Manager) upgraded our room for us to enjoy a quieter time (as a wedding party had arrived.) We were able to enjoy âThe Clubâ facilities with the outstanding infinity pool and a special mention of Nayan and Shreyas who made us feel special at The Cafe restaurant alongside our very attentive pool/sunbath attendant. There is a beach side restaurant with the most wonderful band where Sam sang for us, Pascale cooked the best curry I have ever had which Abhishek and Killian served to us with the most gracious service. We were told this was one of the best hotels in India and now we know why. If you looking for a rest with excellent cuisine and service - this is it!

The service in Leela kovalam beach is beyond the average of a five star hotel, which means that the staff is very friendly and attentive. nevertheless, there is one strange experince to share: some staff members (no names will be mentioned) are very keen on a good feedback and they even urge to write it in front of them. In my opinion, that goes to far and may lead to a negative review. It is unclear if this behaviour of the staff is wanted and tolerated by the management. an honest and genuine feedback comes from the customer based on his own initiative and should not be encouraged nor requested by staff.

Everything was great, we Really enjoyed the professionell service and the lovely hospitality of the whole staff.
++: the traditional way of the leela hotel with traditional rituals for welcoming, culture and kitchen was adorable!
Special thanks to: Rekha from the guest relation, Armjit who prepared us twice a wonderful table with lots of roses for dinner and Sylvester and the whole team from the bar!!

Great hotel, great service we travelled with two children hotel staff very accommodating to us kids loved playing in the pools and children's room. Hotel based on top of a cliff overlooking beaches some of the best sunsets ever seen. Rekha guest relation manager very helpful.
