What People are saying
One of the best in Delhi...

Hotel grounds and service was outstanding! We loved the outdoor garden and Qube cafe. Had dinner at the Jamavar Indian restaurant and the food was great. This hotel gives attention to small details, fresh flowers everywhere, staff are friendly and helpful.
A hotel that looks like a museum. . . but not at all stuffy!

I spent two nights at the Leela Palace and wished that I could have spent more time at the hotel, soaking in the beautiful surroundings (including the beautiful flowers) and lounging by the pool (even though the air quality in Delhi left much to be desired.)
The room was very comfortable--and the hotel provides a choice of not 1, not 2, but 13 different types of pillows (which was a good thing since I am allergic to the goose down feather pillows that are the "default.") I don't think I've EVER had a choice of so many different types of pillows (that can be chosen from the pillow menu!). I won't list the different types but feel free to message me off line if you're interested! Suffice it to say, the hotel has thought of everything as far as pillow comfort.
Next, a few words about the bathtub. It was so large that if filled to the top, a child might drown. Soaking in the tub (filled only 1/4 full) was a fabulous experience (and I didn't even turn on the TV that one could watch while soaking.)
The flowers throughout the hotel are spectacular. While enjoying the flowers (some of which are grown in India, but others of which come into the country from elsewhere), I couldn't help but think about the poverty and slums throughout Delhi. Certainly, this "Palace" is not the real India. .it's a respite from the noise, traffic, pollution, and crowds that you'll see once you leave the hotel.
Make sure to eat at the breakfast buffet downstairs. You'll have your choice of eggs/omelettes to order; fresh fruit/veggie smoothies (that can be made with over 15 different items); pastries, cereals, yogurt, Indian food, Asian food, Mediterranean foods, cheeses, and more. Suffice it to say, you won't need to eat lunch afterwards.
Finally, don't forget to check out the display cases in the restaurant upstairs. You'll see photos of famous people who've stayed at the hotel, or who have eaten at Le Cirque (in NYC). Loved that there was a photo of President Obama and Michelle. Where else would they stay on a trip to Delhi?
Ostentatious!

Only had a couple of hours at the hotel while we waited for a flight. Excellent and top class from the moment you walked in. Had a shower on my arrival and departure about 5 hours apart as the rooms are out of this world. Easy walking distance to a huge shipping mall. Shuttle service to the airport was veyr helpfuland efficient.
Stunning hotel!!

We stayed early November and have just sat down to write my reviews. We stayed at the beginning and end of a 3 week trip around India and our trip could not have started or finished any better.
The entire property is simply stunning!! We stayed in a club floor room, the drinks, service and food were impeccable. Sadly the slack service around the pool area put the property down a little...but it wouldn't stop me from staying again or ever recommending the hotel as the "only" place to stay in new Delhi. Everybody else in the hotel tries just so hard and it obvious, just how proud they are..
Amazing

We traveled here as a stopover to Agra. While the hotel met all of our expectations, it was our driver, Shishupal, who brought the extra-ordinary to our visit. We would recommend for anyone looking for a tour of the city or an overnight stay to utilize his services through the hotel. He drove us to Agra and met us in the morning to visit multiple sites, including a beautiful village, on our way at back to Dehli. His honesty (in a place where I am normally highly skeptical) and work ethic are truly second to none. It was our highest privilege to spend time at the hotel and with our new friend, Shishupal.
