This a place basically where Bangladeshi people go for shopping in Kolkata, Nice management, nice complimentary breakfast. Just be careful about taxi, don't try to hire a taxi by your own, rather trust reception, they will call a taxi for you in a competitive price, if you don't have enough time to wait for uber or ola.

The service of the hotel is really good. The breakfast is very good and has a wide range of items in the menu. The rooms are good with comfortable beds and kept very clean. Stayed there for a day. Some rooms dont have good view although it is in a good place.

Very good location to stay if you are at Calcutta for shopping. specially for Muslims there are quite a few good halal restaurants in that area. we stayed for seven days there. room service was good. buffet breakfast was also good and they don't serve same menu everyday. had no issues with wifi. ac works perfectly.
overall its a very nice boutique hotel within your budget. definitely recommend it.

I was transferred to this hotel after the hotel I had booked and paid for bumped me in favour of another booking. Actually it was the 2nd hotel I was driven to at 3am after arriving solo in Kolkata- what an initiation. I just wanted a shower and bed so over looked the initial shabbiness of the room. Turned the bathroom light on and got a disco! Flashing power surges with sound effects to match. No hot water, filthy bathroom and floor, no working kettle - called manager who sent
a boy to fix the light to no avail - he disappeared and never came back. To cut a long story short I was eventually moved to another room which was marginally better but was not lockable from the inside so I spent an hour sleeping until I left with furniture against the door.
Terrible service trying to get a taxi organised when leaving and eventually I walked out to the street and got my own.
Do not stay in this hotel, I would probably vote it the worst hotel I have ever stayed in with the worst service.

We booked the hotel for one night before heading out for Shantiniketon, but decided to come back and stay there for the rest of our trip in Kolkata- because we loved it there! For 3000 Rs. per night, we couldn't have found a better place to be in. The Hotel is a bit difficult to find if you don't know what you're looking for and the lift could've been more spacious. But that's all the flaws we could find with the place. The hotel is well located, New Market is just at a walking distance. It has shops, restaurants, taxis all closely located. The rooms are spacious, clean, TV and all the other amenities work just fine. Washroom, albeit small, was clean and well maintained. The hotel staff was more than helpful, and remarkably polite. Complimentary buffet was quite generous and menu would change everyday. On our last day we ordered food from the restaurant, and can we say it happens to be the best food we had in India? All in all, we know where we're going to live the next time we're visiting Kolkata.
