The Camel Safari Camp Retreat is located at village kanoi, 32 kms from Jaisalmer city on the Sam Sand Dunes Road. Its unique location ( 4 kms inside the main road ) with its own sand dunes is no better way of experiencing the romance & mystery of the desert. Its exactly 2 Km. south of the main road in village. The camp promises a truly unparalleled experience of the desert in its element. It is a toast to the erstwhile Maharajas and you are treated to one with a panache that leaves you overwhelmed.

Ahmedabad to Jaisalmer

Anjali C on 25/11/2017 20:35

We visited Jaisalmer in December (best time to visit), chilling weather at night.

We boarded volvo bus from Ahmedabad around 10.30 PM and reached Jaisalmer in the morning around 7PM. Bus dropped us at Jaisalmer city, there we booked hotel just to fresh-n-up, we hired bikes and ahead towards sam sand dunes. It is around 40 km from Jaisalmer city but possess a very beautiful journey with friends/family.

We reached our resort 'Rawla Camp' around 4:30PM, they welcomed us with welcome drinks and snacks. We booked the Traditional Hut and enjoyed village culture there.

After that we enjoyed sunset at Sand dumes, which was a wonderful experience of life.
Beautiful view when sun sets between the dessert.

Post that resort had an arrangement of Rajasthani cultural programme (music, dance etc) where one can enjoy snacks and drinks near Bon-fire for 2-3 hours.

Thereafter resort arranges a Rajsathani flavoured food/Dinner and then once can relax in their traditional hut.

Next day in the morning after breakfast, Resort arranges camel safari and jeep safari on sand dumes. We loved camel safari on the camel named 'Michel Jackson'.

Post that we left for the jaisalmer city and enjoyed parachute ride in the middle(500 for 3mins). We visited local site seeing of Jaisalmer 2-3 temples, garden and in the evening we left for the Ahemdabad.

Amazing place except Maggie Price!!

We were 5 and visited Rawla camp on Jan 26,2017. Place is amazing and camp is located at very beautiful place. We were greeted with a cup of tea, followed by cultural dance at night and dinner/drinks.

Don't go there! Out of season this place is lonely and hygiene is non-existent!

I stayed 2 nights at the end of the tourist season. I was the only guest and the site was filthy. The staff were pleasant and helpful as far as they could be but it wasn't enough!
The laundry was dirty, bed was not clean, toilet had broken flush, light bulbs worse than candles, 1 cold tap only in sink (no hot water; it came in a bucket in the morning if I asked for it), fan had no plug on it (I was shown how to push bare wires in the wall socket to make it work!) I accidently found myself in the kitched when looking for help and was horrified! It was filthy with years of grime! I refused all food except fruit I could peel! Prior to seeing the kitchen, I thought the food was good! Definitely a place to avoid.

We have booked 7 luxury tent at Rawla Camp for the evening of 29 February 2016. We reached there at 4:30 PM. There was only one rude person, so called manage, at the sight. The weather was very warm. There were no fans in the tents. There was only one waiter. He took 50 minutes to install fans in the tents. Most of the fans were making more noise and giving no air. The cultural programme was no good. Neither was the food. In the morning both cold water and hot water taps were giving very hot water. We were totally disappointed.
