This is one of the worst experiences for me in a 5* hotel. Me and my friend who are both 16 are going on a trip to Japan for 2 days. Upon booking the hotel package for Ritz Carlton via Cathay Pacific Holidays I had call the reservation department in the hotel and double check that it is ok for us to stay here as we are both 16. At the time the reservationists in the hotline told us that it is not a problem and he is looking forward for our stay. So, I book the package but realizing that something is not going well and emailed the reservation department just for reassurance that we could check in successfully. 2 days later received an email from the manager apologizing for the incorrect information and refused us from stay. This is not what I would expect in a international 5* hotel and is utterly unacceptable that they have no intension to solve the mess that they had caused.
Dear manager, if your are reading this, please, train your frontline staff and look for someone who could speak English instead of someone who just know how to say âyesâ,âokâ,âthank youâ andâ I donât understand sir?â. I found this absolutely shocking that no one seems to any clue of what they are doing and definitely didnât not expect this in Ritz Carlton. You guys really let me down and certainly Ruin the reputation of Ritz.

Had yet another amazing stay at the Oska Ritz. New club lounge is beautiful and the manager Kevin Song was amazing. It was the year-end so very busy in Japan but Kevin remembered every detail and made our stay amazing. The Fitness Club staff was also amazing with kids and big smiles. Highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Oska.

This is a wonderful property and very much on my "Yes, Please" list for visits to Osaka.
The staff are first class and really do everything to ensure you have an enjoyable experience. Many speak fluent English and that helps tremendously when on a business trip.
The rooms are quite large and very well insulated. The bed is a haven onto itself. The bathroom is large, well lit and offers shower and large bath tub with a side room for toilet.
I didn't have a chance to try all the amazing dining options during my short stay. The fitness center was under short refurbishment so I look forward to using it next time.
Executive lounge is a splurge worth considering. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening treats cuts your expenses down other places. Great staff!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Executive Suite Room. The room is spacious with living room, bed room, bathroom with tub, two separate restrooms. The service was fantastic, especially a bell attendant who escorted us gently and a housekeeper who came our room for turn down service seemly.
However, I was mildly disappointed at room slippers and laundry bag without Ritz' name logo on it. It appears to be a sleazy amenity.

My family stayed at the Ritz Carlton for a few days during the cherry blossom season. This is a beautiful hotel with classic aesthetic, and the dark wood décor make it really stands out from other hotels in Japan. There's a large amount of antique & art work on display around the hotel, which makes it even more impressive.
The hotel is in the prestigious Nishi-Umeda district, and it's convenient to get around as it's only a few minutes walk to the subway & Osaka station, and the airport shuttle is only a few hundred meters away.
As a Marriott Platinum member, we were upgraded to a Skyview Deluxe corner room on a high floor, which offered a very good view of the Osaka skyline. The room was very spacious and tastefully decorated. The bathroom had double vanity with separate shower and tub. The bed was comfortable and we had good rest every night.
With the regard to breakfast, I do agree with many other reviewer, this is what Ritz Osaka is really lacking. The selection was limited, and the quality is not on par with other Ritz I have stayed. What's more, the restaurant doesn't have the capacity to serve all the guest at peak time. The tables are cramped, the buffet area are crowded, and people have to wait in lines to get food. The service can't keep up with the crowd, therefore waiting time is long, so it makes the experience worse. I do hope the hotel can do something to improve the breakfast.
Other than this, I was very satisfied with the service at the hotel. I want to thank Keizo Mizomoto-san at the Loss & Found. I forgot to pack my eye-glasses, and he took care of the matter swiftly and professionally. I received my glasses through express mail in just a couple of days after returning home, and Keizo-san carefully cleaned and packed my glasses, which I really appreciated.
Thank you and we do hope to return to your hotel next time we visit Osaka.
