I've been stayed here several time and always love to stay here. Helpfuland friendly staff.and great swimming pool. Breakfast was excellent, good variety of food and so tasty. NASI GUDEG also availiable here. Will be back next time.

Some small award banners from well-known online travel website 'greeted' me at the reception desk when I arrived at this hotel, which I responded with a skeptical feeling, since I have seen many hotels that didn't live up to its online reviews. Well... Sunan Solo is absolutely none of those hotels, it is a wonderful true 4-star hotel.
You don't have to worry about its location. Solo is not a big city, you can reach its corners quite easy. Since it's not in the center of Solo/Surakarta city, you can expect a perfect quiet sleep.
It has a proper size of swimming pool. A very decent breakfast for a 4-star hotel. Nice bed. And a very nice Chinese food resto in its 2nd / mezzanine floor. Worth every penny, better than my last hotel in this town (which is good as well). Happy guests, happy holiday.

As a fairly "old-looking" hotel, this hotel exceeded our expectations. Room was clean and neat though under the sheets you can clearly saw the old "unclean-able" stains on the bed (on the bed, not on the sheets) and pillow was a little too "soft" for our liking. Bathroom and bathtub was great, WiFi was not too fast from our room (4th floor), but we loved the overall vintage/classic vibe from the room. The best part of the hotel was their FOOD! Our breakfast was amazing, they got a generous variation of menu (most of it were local Indonesian foods) and not a single menu disappointed us.

A very good choice. Comfortable and clean room, great bed, enormous swimming pool, friendly service and excellent food. The breakfast had so much variety. The grand piano player in the lobby from 5pm was really nice too.

The room is clean and spacious, I had a room overlooking the pool with nice view. The bed is comfortable and they also provided us with bolsters, not one but two - those are the plus point.
Big swimming pool. Courteous and helpful staff. Highly recommended.
