I stayed here overnight with my daughter the hotel it self is nice and the room was good for one night On returning to our room at night we found a full scale party going on in the room next door and the smell of smoke amongst other smells was disgusting after having to ring down stairs and eventually having to get dressed and go down stairs at 2 O clock in the morning we were given another key and told to move rooms we would also be compensated for our inconvenience Since returning home i have heard nothing my emails are being ignored also there is no communication with this hotel what so ever ignorance is blisd eh So if you want to get your head down for the night dont bother with this Hotel

This Hotel used to be Called the Bower. it was then a good hotel with a good reputation.
When we arrived at the VIctoria the welcome was not what I would normally expect. We were given a room that was as cold as a fridge and therefore we were moved to a ground floor room with an electric heater that at first did not work. We got someone to come and sort it out. Beds were OK if a little on the soft side.
Breakfast was served by a very welcoming young man but it was spoilt by the over cooked bacon. WE will not stop at this Hotel again

Large twin room.large bathroom. 32in flat screen television iron and ironing board. Tea coffee etc. hair dryer.The only reason for not rating better was the young people running through corridors late into the night and again early morning.

Manchester has plenty of good hotels in the city centre but if you are staying out towards the Ring Road, the choices are more limited. We were visiting family and needed accommodation to the North-East of the city, just inside the Ring Road. The Victoria Hotel came to our attention in a search and the looked satisfactory. The price for a room was reasonable as well. So, we booked for two nights.
The hotel is located just off of J21 of the M60 but because it is located on a dual-carriageway, it can only be accessed from the south. From the north requires a bit of a detour. Follow your satnav carefully.
There is a decent amount of parking available around the hotel entrance area. We had no trouble finding a spot for ours. We had no trouble parked overnight during our stay.
The hotel is clearly very old (19th C) but has been extended sympathetically in recent years. Our room (387) was located in the newer part of the hotel. Access is by proximity cards and this is needed to access the room floors as well, as added security.
Our room was nicely decorated, clean and well maintained. The bed was large and comfortable. Despite the proximity to the Ring Road, noise was minimal. We had a good night's sleep.
If there was a complaint it was the same I have of virtually every hotel at which I have stayed: Not enough wall or door-back hooks to hang up things like travel wash bags or dressing gowns. Also, the shower spray head was a bit odd, not really giving a proper spray of water.
We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evenings as we spent both evenings with family. We did, however, have breakfast both mornings. The selection was adequate and the quality of what was provided was good.
If we ever need a hotel in this area again, I would have no hestitation in staying here again. Good value for money.
If you ever stay here, watch out for Frank, a little black cat. He hangs around the hotel entrance and darts in like lightning when you open the door. He is not the hotel's cat; he lives nearby but has adopted the hotel as part of his territory. However, he does not take kindly to children. The hotel staff suspect that kids have abused him at some time and now he treats them with deep suspicion and possible aggression. Sad when our animal friends are not respected.

Stopping here on a business trip, located near a family restaurant and shops. Stopping in a double room and the bed is huge and extremely comfortable. Big flat screen TV, nice bathroom, good decor and spacious. Free biscuits and hot chocolate as-well as the usual essentials tea, coffee, hair dryer etc. Breakfast is FANTASTIC great selection of Hot and Cold foods. Meals are prepared beautifully and cater to Vegetarians. Healthy hot food options available. Would happily stop here again. Staff have also been friendly and so helpful. Thanks
