Stayed here for 3 nights between Xmas and New Year 2017) and couldn't have been happier.
Arrived slightly earlier than had expected but was shown to our room and allowed in. The room was really nicely decorated with bedding to match - all very cozy.
Towels were changed and bed made for us every day as well as tea and coffee replenished.
Breakfast was served in the restaurant,the full English set us up for the day and was absolutely top notch. Staff all very helpful at all times and made us feel really welcome.
The views over the harbour are just superb and the whole place was lit up for Christmas - very pretty indeed.
Would definitely like to return for another Christmas break.
Couldn't fault it.

We have been here before on two occasions and have always been really pleased. The rooms are very comfortable with tea making equipment and television and lovely bedding, the view overlooking the bay is beautiful and just to sit and watch the world go by from the window is a pleasure. My only grumble was the breakfast this time, -previously we were really satisfied but it appears that the selection of cereals had been cut and the bacon was dire, two rashers of streaky bacon that looked as though they had been cooked in the microwave, pale and fatty and just one round of toast with it, no separate toast. This was my only complaint so I urge the chef to rethink this and get some decent back bacon before it puts too many people off.

Right on the harbour side with lovely sea views. Quiet, comfy bed, friendly staff and great breakfast. Only downside was the very small bathroom. Mevagissey was quiet when we stayed but room might be noisier at peak times as its above a bar/restaurant. .

My wife and I stayed at The Wheelhouse from 9/23/17 - 9/26/17. What a lovely setting! We were able to watch the fishing fleet's comings and goings from our room facing the harbor. The room was quite comfortable, though small. This lodging is above the Wheelhouse Restaurant/pub. The restaurant food is not very good. The food offered us for breakfast was not too good either and took a long time to prepare. The boarders eat in a dining room off the main restaurant area. All in all this is a lovely location, but not a great service.

We go every year, so that in itself makes a statement. It's a bit quirky, which can be viewed as a quality or a liability. Staircases and corridors to our room ascend, descend, ascend, descend... A minor problem with hot water, and the light over the washbasin, and some of the staff are a little young.
But when I pointed out there was no fish on the breakfast, they spoke to chef, and he cooked me some. And you can here seagulls at nearly all hours - and fishermen, and harbour noises.
I left two jackets in a wardrobe (and live nearly 400 miles away) but they were so friendly and sent them back to me.
But with all the quirkiness, we keep going there. Why? Because the situation and view is brilliant, magnificent, fantastic. Always action, colour, movement in the inner harbour. Boats coming and going, and fishermen, and catches...
We'll be back!
