A very pleasant stay with a couple of friends. Clean and welcoming! Very good meal on the Saturday evening and a wonderful breakfast on the Sunday morning! A bit off the beaten track but worth a visit!

Booked for lunch after reviewing the menu on line. Plenty of choice. 2 of the meals were good - fish and chips and the gammon, although my dad commented it could have been a bit hotter. I chose the lasagne, which was hot but not particularly tasty. There was quite a bit of meat, a couple of layers of pasta but very little bechamel sauce. Needed to season quite heavily. I was offered chips or garlic bread but didn't fancy either. I asked for new potatoes but should have gone for veg or side salad.
LOVE village pubs, but dint think I will bother heading back to this one.

We had another excellent relaxing break at the Thornton Hunt Inn last weekend. Superb yet again. Nice, clean well-appointed accommodation, high quality well-cooked and presented meals. A traditional country inn in a quiet village location, that always looks the part, decorated tastefully for the festive season and oozing with atmosphere. The proprietors are very welcoming and the place cannot be faulted. Even the large car park area is well-kept.
North Lincolnshire is a very pleasant part of the country, the Thornton Hunt Inn makes it even better, and it is very highly recommended. Well worth searching out. We look forward to returning in 2018.

One of our favourite places to eat, can fully reccomend this cosy oldy worldy little pub restaurant with its oak beams and welcoming fire. From the mixed grill, steak pie to scampi and chips always delicious

We first entered the building yesterday and were greeted with 1 staff member. We were allowed to check in early which we thought was nice. We decided to have lunch in the pub. The food was an deeply average. We then went to our allocated room, it smelt of hot and damp. The free WiFi was anything but good and with no signal in the bar or in the rooms you couldn't use mobile date, it blocked simple aps like Instagram and snapchat which was bizarre. In the morning we went to have breakfast. The options were full English breakfast and continental breakfast which was fine but the continental was some random cereals with a few pieces of toast slapped on a rack. My aunties boyfriend came and joined us for breakfast because he was greeted with a frosty service. Also during this meal our friend asked for some lemonade or if that was not possible some sparkling water. The waitress asked the person who was making the food if that was okay. She came back and started pouring out some sparkling water which he was slightly disappointed in as he wanted lemonade. Throughout this experience we felt uncomfortable, not welcome and everything was too much trouble. But all in all I think this wasn't a good experience and too come back ever again will be too soon.
