When you are touring around India, it is so nice to have a lovely hotel to sit and relax in and reflect on your day, and that is precisely what you get in this beautiful hotel. There are so many attributes to this hotel, and it is situated perfectly on the shores of Lake Pichola.
Beautiful views from the gardens with exotic peacocks wandering around. Not that we have children ( have grandchildren now), but I noticed a Kids Club in action, not to mention a badminton court if that is what you have the energy for!
The ambience of the bar area and the restaurant was perfect, though too cold in January to sit outside in the evening which was a shame. The food was of a high standard, as was the staff, who were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble.
Would highly recommend this hotel for those visiting this beautiful city.

Trident Udaipur was my first visit to the 31st Reunion of my 1987 batch from IIM Ahmedabad. The hotel was nice- simple leisurely. But the rooms are small- too compact- and the washroom a cubicle.
It helped that we were a gang and the hotel coped with us very well. We did not use much of the property services and facilities but the lawns- pool- area that we saw were well maintained and inviting. The food was good. And the staff cordial.
The lake facade is also nice for a stroll or just to sit in the morning or evening.
It is in a haveli style and would prefer the rooms that are facing outwards.

Stayed here for three nights at the end of a three week trip around India. Hotel is set slightly away from the main old town but this is easily accessible by tuktuk or on foot. The grounds are extensive and beautifully maintained. The interior of the hotel is also lovely. Rooms were spacious and comfy with plenty of hot water, fluffy towels and good quality toiletries.
All the staff are curtious and canât do enough for you. Sarit in the restaurant deserves a special mention for his attentiveness and his lovely smile.
Thanks to all for a great end to our trip.

We stayed for three nights in Trident.
The location is nice, close to the lake and not far from the city attractions.
The room is small compared to other hotels we stayed in India, and looks outdated.
The staff / service is great, I'm sure that what makes this hotel get so many good reviews. Everyone is really interested in helping, always smiling.

In Udaipur, real India's and Rajasthan's treasure, the Trident Hotel is ideally located and fulfills its guests. Very comfortable and sophisticated, this hotel is offering a high quality service and the restaurant a refined cooking. To be noticed the high quality of the welcome as well as the kindness and efficiency of the staff, both professional and receptive. A personal commendation for Mr Surajbhan.
