I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Tufenkian Historic Hotel in late January. It is a stylish, comfortabe hotel with good facilities. It has a great location - just a very short stroll to the National Gallery in Republic Square and it overlooks a busy and interesting market. The hotel is not just a commercial venture. It is part of the Tufenkian Foundation and its furnishing are all crafted in Armenia and there is a carpet shop in the hotel wihich provides work for Amenians in the countryside.

although i did not stay at their premises, the lady at the reception was more than happy to escort us in a tour of the hotel and the rooms including the carpet store. i can say that their rooms are nicely decorated with handmade carpets, covers ... which makes them very warm and special. after the tour we enjoyed a coffee in their lobby along with a yummy GATA cake. a must try. the hotel is centrally located steps away from all the city highlights and the metro and vernisage are facing it.

When choosing a hotel, it must meet certain criteria like location, service, rooms and value for money. The Tufenkian Hotel checks all the boxes and exceeds all expectations.
Tufenkian Historic Hotel is an 80+ Boutique Hotel located across from Vernissage Souvenir Market. It's about 30 minutes from the airport ( 6000AMD (about $12) by hotel pickup which is the standard rate). The hotel is minutes from Republic Square and about 25 minutes walk to all of the city landmarks.
My email requesting an airport pickup was answered within hours. I was promptly met at the airport and brought to the hotel. The hotel is a newly built hotel that was carefully constructed to blend in with the surrounding Armenian architecture. The lobby is modern with a bar (Happy Hour from 6-8 with 50% off on drinks), a restaurant (breakfast is served from 7-11) and a carpet showroom attached where you can see women weaving Armenian carpets.
Check in was fast, friendly and efficient. The room is a good size, well designed with a safe, ample closet space and outlets near the bed. Internet is free, fast and reliable, The bathroom has a shower enclosure with limited amenities since there are soap dispensers near the sink and in the shower. At night chocolate is left in your room which is a nice touch.
Breakfast is good but limited. There is an assortment of cheese, pastry. cold meats, cereal, fried eggs and fresh juice. They will cook your eggs upon request.
The staff is extremely professional , friendly and efficient. They are more than happy to arrange private tours, transportation and transfers. They are the backbone of the hotel and will make any stay extremely enjoyable.
TH is a fantastic hotel with exceptional service .It is great value for your money. TH is definitely the place to stay in Yerevan with great staff, convenient location and good rooms. You can't ask for anything more.

I had an amazing experience. Loved the decor and location... the food was also amazing, healthy and delicious... the have the cutest pool area nestled in back of the building , makes the hot summer days way more tolerable!
you get to walk out and see all the artisans on the weekends not to mention see the ladies weaving the beautiful Armenian carpets right in the window of the hotel!
Pricing is incredible as well, you get a beautiful place for a fraction of the cost.
I have stayed there now twice and looking forward going back for many more visits!

I did stay at Tufenkian Hotel in Yerevan for five nights few months ago. Overall my experience was very positive: nice room (really big - junior suite), very clean, nice bed and pillows. Front desk was always helpful and the location of this property is superb - it is near all the main spots of Yerevan. They just should improve the breakfast: it was the same for five days - it was good with the essentials to begin your day - but always the same (by the way, the lady working there was the most polite and communicative person I've met in my trip to Armenia. She paid attention to each and every guest. I regret that I didn't ask for her name to say thanks here).I recommend this hotel in your trip to Yerevan.
