My husband and I were interested I seeing the small towns, ports and talking to locals on our first trip to Asturias on our way to Galicia. All of this was met when we stayed at Hotel Suquin.
Slightly out of the way, but in a lush area with walkable streets, nearby farms and vistas, we got plenty of expert advice from Alberto, the owner. He is very appreciative of his beautiful locale and eager to share his knowledge, particularly when asked specific questions. All of his suggestions were excellent regarding nearby fishing towns, restaurants and routes for our continuing journey.
The hotel itself is charming, relaxed, clean and rustic. Beds were comfortable, shower excellent and parking easy in their private lot. The immediate surrounding is idyllic, quiet and gives one the sense of really being away. It's only a few minutes drive to dense little port towns and stunning cliff walks.

Hotel although basic in some of its amenities offered good value with clean and tidy rooms. The host was exceptionally friendly and offered information about the area. Close enough to Puerto de Vega, a pretty port, for lunch or dinner, and some nice beaches. Hotel is dog friendly. No buffet breakfast, which we prefer, but was OK and included in price. No hairdryer in room but I am sure one would have been made available if requested. Good size room with comfortable beds, Very clean bathroom. Hotel, as with many others, had mosquito issues, fly swat in room, but spray offered by host. Meant windows shut on hot night. WiFi free but during our stay issues beyond control of hotel.
