Only exterior lawns and location is good. But interiors furniture bed sheets pillows towels napkins are pathetic and smell foul. Food is of C-grade quality (7/8 dish choice) but they charge buffet @ 1500rs plus taxes. A royal 5 star buffet @Fariyas is @1500rs too but with A grade quality luxurious ambience and service with nearly 50/60 dishes choice.
I wonât visit a 2nd time. Better avoided. Even road till the resort is passes thru a slum of 6feet road.

Upper deck resort is the best place to visit for a holiday. The scenic beauty and the amenities of the resort are the best. The staff is courteous and very helpful. The cuisines served are delicious..
Good property, not maintained well and bad food

Been here in Jan 2018 with my family. Paid INR 10K for one night which included bed and breakfast. Feel it is overpriced. The property is good but not being maintained well. Food is super expensive and not good as well. There is not much to choose from in the menu. Would suggest people staying here to take a drive to Lonavala and have food.
Excellent Place to Relax

We stayed at the Upper Deck from noon of Sunday to noon of Monday. The purpose of this visit was to relax and live peacefully. That's why we opted for a Sunday-Monday rather than a Saturday- Sunday. So, there were very less occupants and thereby it was more or less like the entire hill was for us. The place is not difficult to locate as there are sign boards at regular intervals once you take a left from the Mumbai-Pune Old Highway (road immediately after L&T Leadership Development Academy while entering from Mumbai). The road is not that bad as some of the reviews say. Compared to the roads leading to Club Mahindra and Hilton, it is far better. Just that after a certain distance, once we enter a village it is narrow that only one car can move at a time. From the gate of the resort to the reception it is a climb and few people may find it awkward to drive as the pavement is made of size-stone. Nothing dangerous for the tyre though. We found all the staff friendly and attended to whatever we requested. As the occupancy was low, there was no buffet for lunch. Breakfast is complementary but was not kept as a buffet due to low occupancy. But the best part was all the items of the buffet menu was on offer. The taste of the food is good and it was nice to see that even fried items were well cooked with no oil dripping. I had booked for a cottage, but by mistake we were taken to the Deluxe Room. After check-in I realised that it was not a cottage and immediately called the reception. The lady at the reception immediately did the needful to shift us to cottage. However, upon going to the cottage we felt that the deluxe room was better as that was directly facing the valley. From cottage we got only a part view of the valley and it was more of pool view. Also the balconies of the adjacent cottages are common with just a barrier separating. Hence, upon request, we went back to the Deluxe Room. It should not have been a problem for the resort management as I was staying in a room that is supposed to be cheaper than what I had paid for. It was a good relaxing and peaceful 24 hours. The view of the valley and lake from the resort was wonderful. Also there is a viewing deck in front of the restaurant from where we can see the sun rise. I would not mind staying in the same resort next time as long as I get any one of the room from 120-123. 119 is also fine (I stayed there) as long as no one is staying in 120 because the balcony wall has the ventilation window of the washroom of room 120.As no one stayed in 120, it was fine. Otherwise there is a risk of the bad air coming into the balcony and we may not be able to keep the balcony door open. The rooms are very well kept and the beddings and towels are very clean. The washrooms are well maintained and no problem for warm water. It is not recommendable to go out of the resort after dark if you dont have a car. Overall an excellent stay and hospitality. The only reservation I have is they charge Rs.80 + taxes for 1 litre bottled water. Not sure if the hotels are allowed to charge more than MRP.
