The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. We arrived late and the issue getting into the room. Staff was very helpful and we ended up getting a new room. The hotel is just of the motorway so very easy to get to. Great place to bring kids with the pool.

Had a great stay. Off A1.Good location. Decent price for a night. Food well priced. Staff is great @ hotel is clean . Good Lounge area & decent Pool. Will be back if company plan a visit again. Don't forget to try breakfast it's good with lot of options.

The hotel is in good location. The room was clean, comfortable and decent size. The staffs are friendly polite and very helpful. We had dinner carvery which was great. The service in the Restaurant very good.Next day Sunday morning breakfast was excellent with plenty choice. Overall we really enjoyed with reasonable price.
We will not hesitate to comeback.

We booked this hotel for a weekend break for my birthday. Receptionist was pleasant checking us in. The room was very spacious and clean even though a little outdated. The evening meals in the restaurant was satisfactory even though had to wait awhile. Breakfast was a good selection of both cooked and continental. The spa facilities were fairly clean and the pool and Jacuzzi relaxing. Check out was busy but quickly dealt with.
Pros: Easily accessible from the motorway
Cons: A fair distance away from town centre

My sisters and I booked a spa day with afternoon tea for my Mum for her Christmas present. We have been on many of these at different hotels and this was the worst. The 2 things that saved the experience was the afternoon tea, which was lovely and just as you would expect. When my sister said she had asked for a vegetarian option for her (which hadn't come) they were straight on it and very quickly brought a large selection of vegetarian sandwiches. The staff were very nice and attentive and are a credit to the hotel. The other was the actual spa treatments we had booked. They were running late but we got the treatments at the times we booked them and they were lovely. Again the spa staff were lovely and welcoming.Â
The downside which has been said on most other reviews is that the hotel is extremely tired and in need of refurbishment. The ladies toilets downstairs has 2 sinks but only one has a set of taps that work. The carpet in the bar is all frayed at the edges and coming away. As for the spa area! This should never be marketed as a spa hotel and when guests are making bookings they should be told that the jacuzzi and the steam room are out of order so that they can make the decision whether to go or not. To arrive and find that it's out of order and the tiny pool is full of kids was not good. As for the changing facilities, the tiniest of rooms for the amount of people trying to get changed, no individual changing rooms, the toilet was out of order which I'm sure is against health and safety regulations as there was only one. No wet swimming costume bags and no slippers available to hire as stated. Due to the facilities not working everyone was trying to use the sauna which clearly isn't big enough for the amount of people booked in the hotel. We won't be going back.
